Longest Lutheran Happy Hour Members at Outer Eastern Lutheran Church decided to use “Longest Lutheran” as a way to get to know and encourage those involved in day to day ministry at our primary school, Good Shepherd. So the “Longest Lutheran Happy Hour” was born, and celebrated on Friday 18 October in a beautiful evening on the school terrace. Drinks, nibbles, and a sizzling barbecue were enjoyed by a collection of school staff, school families, congregation members, and families who are part of a growing Sunday evening worship community based at our school. As children enjoyed the adjacent playground, adults enjoyed chatting to one another, and getting to know each other a little better. In a very relaxed atmosphere there was a strong sense of affirmation and appreciation of our shared community and ministry.
