March Madness betting - Second Tier Predictions In March Madness betting, you don’t just finish off the predictions with the first tier, we still need to look at the second tier and see how they are going to fare at the Big Dance. Pittsburgh It’s your same old Pitt team, a team where some of the NCAA basketball betting players are careful to get behind. The Panthers will try to grind you to the ground but this year they are carefully walking on the sides even if they currently lead the country in rebounding margin. The main worry here is the health of Ashton Gibbs, who recently went down with a knee injury and while he should be back in a couple of weeks, it could definitely disrupt with Pitt’s offensive rhythm at a crucial time of the year. Georgetown The Hoyas could be the hardest team in the country to handicap or perhaps it’s only because they play in the monster we call the Big East. In one game, they’ll get the brakes beat off them at home against Pitt, then after three weeks, outplay Syracuse at the Carrier dome, a place that they haven’t manage to win on in the last seven years. The Hoyas are another team who can score from the perimeter, powered by Austin Freeman, who is one of a senior trio that Georgetown depends on. But their NCAA basketball betting odds might depend on Julian Wright, their only weapon in the frontcourt. North Carolina The Tar Heels have definitely the talent to make a deep run in March but they might be a year away if they can keep everyone on campus. Harrison Barnes, the first freshman to make the preseason All-American team in its history, is starting to come around and kendall Marshall is probably an upgrade from the departed Larry Drew II. Tyler Zeller and John Henson can be a force inside and their seniors don’t play a big role. Perhaps only experience will pull back North Carolina in March. Kentucky
Another team that’s led by a freshman coming out of Lexington, powered by Terrence Jones and Brandon Knight while Doron Lamb is lights out from beyond the arc. But the Wildcats don’t have much inside except for Jones and having Ener Kanter rules ineligible at the beginning of the season really hurt their NCAA basketball betting odds. The game is going to slow down and the Wildcats are going to have to go inside and we don’t think they have the gonads to. A lot of gamblers must be quite crazy for the March Madness betting season and there’s definitely commotion going on at the start of the conference games! Choose your picks well at the start of the March Madness betting season in order to get in on the profit
