Campground Guidelines

To make your stay more enjoyable, we want to be sure you know … • Children at play! Kids are busy having fun here, so keep an eye out for them and your speed at 5 mph throughout the park. Our Playground is open from 8:00 am until dusk. • We love pets and we want yours to have an enjoyable camping experience with you, so be sure to bring them over to our 5,500 sq. ft. Dog Park to run free with fellow four-legged campers. In all other areas of the campground, we ask that for their safety you please keep your pets leashed – we would hate to see them get lost or hurt. Fellow campers greatly appreciate your efforts to clean up after your pets and we do too. You will find pet waste bags at the Pet Walk and in the Dog Park. Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets in any of the buildings. • We want your experience and that of your fellow campers to be enjoyable. Please do not drive through unoccupied sites. Please do not walk through occupied sites, because contrary to everyone’s belief, not everyone is okay with it. Limit one camping unit per site and be sure to park additional tow vehicles in designated gravel parking areas, not on the grass. Carpets and camping mats keep our grass from growing; please use these on gravel areas only. • Your neighbors should be quiet from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am so you can get some shut-eye. During quiet hours please refrain from using radios and having loud conversations. If you have a concern or issue with another guest, please don’t hesitate to contact us immediately to help mediate the challenge you’re having with them. It’s better than losing a night’s sleep, isn’t it? If you can’t reach us and can’t get them to quiet down yourself, feel free to call the police. • What’s camping without a campfire? Enjoy one right at your site in the designated fire rings! Firewood and s’mores supplies are available at the KOA Store. And remember, safety first; please douse your fires when not in use and refrain from throwing trash in, or moving, the rings. • Our young trees are striving to grow. Climbing on immature limbs or attaching clotheslines or other supports will hinder them from making it to the big shade trees they aspire to be, not to mention doing

Services:

these things can cause hazards for you and other campers. Please help us protect the grounds, trees and landscaping. • For your convenience, all our RV sites are full hookup, including sewer. Only RV toilet paper should be flushed down the septic system, nothing else, especially your sewer hose! To prevent you from losing that forever and us from having a huge mess on our hands, we require that a threaded adapter or rubber grommet is used for your sewer hookup. These supplies are available for purchase at the KOA Store if you don’t have them. • No generators, please! • We welcome your guests, but ask for everyone’s safety, that all visitors register at the Office upon arrival, where they can pay their $3/person/ day guest fee. Please be sure to invite them to participate in any amenities and activities they like and be sure to share any of these guidelines that would be relevant with them. • Check-in is available at 11:00 am for RV and tent sites, and at 1:00 pm for all kabins and lodges. All campers should plan for an 11:00 am check-out. Late check-outs can often be accommodated for RV and tent campers, when arrangements are made in advance. • Our Pool is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. All kids under 12, please bring an adult to the Pool with you. Our littlest swimmers should be sure to wear proper swim diapers. There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY and swimming is at your own risk. The pool is reserved for our two-legged campers, so please no pets in the pool area. • No smoking please in any buildings or common areas at the campground, including the pool area, playground, dog park, cabins and lodges. • Help us keep our park clean by placing all trash in a plastic bag and disposing of it in the green dumpsters at the front of the park. You will also find recycling there as well as additional trash receptacles located throughout the grounds.

Why not stay another day or two? BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY – If you read the book by Robert James Waller or saw the movie starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood, do not miss a visit to these covered bridges! There are six left, dating from the late 1800s and restored to their original glory. The bridges were originally covered because the flooring timbers were too expensive to replace, and they have grown into beloved icons.
