This enormous plot of land is located in the woods between the coastline and Lake Arresø on the northern side of the island of Zeeland. The dense undergrowth was thoroughly cleared, leaving the towering trees to provide shade and give the area a palpable sense of depth. In this way, the small pavilion clings to this artificial vacuum created by the architects in a certain ensemble, becoming an indivisible part of the surrounding area. The building is essentially a succession of wood panels that rise up from the grass. This arrangement in series folds over and around the interior rooms, turning its back on the forested north side and finishing off at the roof in an enormous overhang which extends out over the terrace. The folding generated by the facades and roof evokes the letter C at a cross section and creates a simple yet forceful frame around the interior, an area which is no more than an obligatory transition to the night time areas running transparently behind the terrace; it is a space emphasized by great sliding doors which clearly separate inside and out.
El enorme emplazamiento se localiza en los bosques entre la línea de costa y el lago Arresø, en la parte Norte de la isla de Zealand. Se realizó una limpieza de la densa vegetación dejando unos árboles para proporcionar la sombra y dotar a la zona de un aparente sentido de la profundidad. De esta manera, el pequeño pabellón se enroca en el vacío artificial creado por los arquitectos a modo de ensamblado y se convierte en parte indivisible del entorno. El edificio es, en esencia, una sucesión de paneles de madera que se elevan sobre la hierba. Esta seriación se plega sobre y alrededor del espacio interior dando la espalda al boscoso Norte y acabando el techo en un enorme voladizo que se prolonga por encima de la terraza. El pliegue generado por las fachadas y la cubierta, una evocación de la letra C en sección, crea un marco simple y rotundo alrededor del espacio interior, un área que no es más que una transición obligada hacia las zonas de noche y que transcurre transparente tras la terraza; un espacio enfatizado con grandes puertas correderas que aparentemente separan el interior del exterior.
