An event of this magnitude can only come to fruition through the individual and collective effort, time and talent of our Moms and Dads Club, our generous benefactors and donors – and all who are here in attendance this evening in support of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. We are tremendously grateful to everyone in our constituency and community who ha provided assistance through this event for our outstanding students and their dedicated teachers.
We hope that you have a great time, enjoy the fellowship and find an item or two to purchase in support of this essential school fundraiser.
Our 138-year history provides the tradition and foundation of our motto of “God – Family – St. Mary’s” that we so proudly pledge to carry on as we forge into our future together.
Thank you again – please know that we treasure your friendship and support – and that you are always welcome here at Orchard Lake.
Headmaster Bob Pyles and the Students, Faculty, Staff and Administration of St. Mary’s Prep
Welcome to the 2023 Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Auction!
We are so excited to welcome the Orchard Lake St. Mary’s School Community back to campus, and in-person, for the biggest live-event fundraiser of the year. From completely new auction experiences celebrating our campus’ 138-year history, to auction items packed with the latest technology, this year’s auction is a celebration of a pivotal moment in our school’s history; where our storied past, meets our exciting future, to make for an incredible, uniquely OLSM-enhanced educational experience for our kids today .
The annual OLSM Auction is proudly produced by the OLSM Moms and Dads Club, and the AMAZING group of dedicated parent volunteers of the Auction Committee. For over 20 years, funds from MDC events like this auction have gone to enhance our children’s educational experience on campus. And with our campus growing by historical leaps and bounds, your support of Moms and Dads Club and the Annual Auction is more critical - and more appreciated - than ever.
We cannot begin to say thank you enough to all of the incredibly supportive OLSM Families who have come out in full and vigorous support of this year’s event. It is only due to the matchless kindness and generosity of our Eaglet families who (among other things) purchased, or donated the many auction items for tonight, placed ads and sponsorships in the program book, and volunteered their time and talents, that we fully expect to count this event as a true success. THANK YOU .
Finally, we want to thank our OLSM Auction teams. We are awed and humbled by your love and dedication to this event, our school, and our kids. We have been blessed by your willingness to share the enormous amount of time, energy, willing collaboration and (most important) grace you’ve shown us and each other, to ensure that this event is the best it can be for our school and our kids. It has been a true honor to serve alongside each and everyone of you. THANK YOU .

I am excited to see this tradition continue once again live and on campus! I want to personally thank each and every St. Mary’s Preparatory Parent and the entire OLSM Community for their support and participation in this our largest fundraising event! From those who donated items, sold advertising, coordinated volunteers, donated time and talents to acquire items and produce baskets, to those who purchased a ticket to the event; you are all appreciated!
The proceeds from this event allow the OLSM Moms and Dads Club to strengthen the school and the overall experience for our most important reason for existing, our students! As our OLSM community continues to grow by leaps and bounds, you may not all be aware of the support the Club provides for so many of the experiences that you, our parents and your children participate in.
Our most emblematic OLSM traditions like Ring Day, Graduation and Senior Parties, along with critical campus improvement projects like new dining hall furniture, new outdoor basketball courts and new classroom tech are all funded by MDC events like tonight’s Annual Auction. Additionally, Moms and Dads Club also keeps our campus community spirit alive and well by supporting things like Spirit Week and community tailgates throughout the year. Finally, we are also proud to help make the OLSM educational experience a great one for our teachers as much as our students by showing our teachers appreciation throughout the year.
Thank you again for all your support. We hope you have a wonderful evening!
Michelle McShane President, Moms and Dads Club
