The Admissions Committee will consider all applications for the Reception Intake 2012/2013 at the same time. Should there be more applicants than places available, the Admissions Committee will give preference to applicants using the following admission criteria and in this order:1.

„Looked-after children‟ from Catholic families.

Baptised Catholic children from practising Catholic families who are resident in the parishes of Our Lady of Ransom, Rayleigh, and Our Lady of Good Counsel, Wickford, or the districts of Hockley and Hawkwell falling within the parish of St Teresa‟s and St Pius X, Rochford whose application is confirmed by their Priest. Evidence of baptism to have been verified.

Baptised Catholic children from practising Catholic families who are resident in other parishes and whose application is confirmed by their Priest. Evidence of baptism to have been verified.

Baptised Catholic children from Catholic families who are resident in the parishes of Our Lady of Ransom, Rayleigh, and Our Lady of Good Counsel, Wickford, or the districts of Hockley and Hawkwell falling within the parish of St Teresa‟s and St Pius X, Rochford whose application is confirmed by their Priest. Evidence of baptism to have been verified.

Baptised Catholic children from Catholic families who are resident in other parishes and whose application is confirmed by their Priest. Evidence of baptism to have been verified.

Children of Catechumens.

Other „Looked-after children‟.

8.

Children whose parents are members of an Eastern Christian Church and whose application is confirmed by their Priest. Evidence of baptism to have been verified.

9.

Baptised or dedicated children from Christian families of other denominations whose application is confirmed by their Priest/Minister. Evidence of baptism/dedication to have been verified.

10.

Children from families of other faiths whose application is supported by their Minister/Religious Leader.

11.

Any other applicant whose parents wish a Catholic education for their child.

The deciding factors in the event of the School being oversubscribed in any of the above categories, are as follows and in this order:a)

Applicants with children already in the School at the time of likely admission shall have priority within the category in which they fall.

b)

Applicants who live nearer the School shall have priority within the category in which they fall. 2
