Emden® ET 50, a modified food starch, leading to gelatin free, fat free and gluten free formulations.

Besides the moulded confectionery Emden® ET 50 also showed excellent performance in the following segments : Jellies (gelatin free, low dosage, cost saving) Chewable (gelatin free, fat free, emulisfier free)

Focus of the development of this excellent starch were gelatin free jellies. In the meantime Emden® ET 50 can be described as a magic starch suitable for the total confectionery industry and even in other food segments. In comparison with “traditional“ starches, Emden® ET 50 is not just a gelling starch, it also yields elasticity. Besides this, Emden® ET 50 can be used in a much lower dosage in the moulded confectionery industry. These charateristics (elasticity, clarity and low dosage) makes this product an innovative ingredient for the food industry.
