INTERIOR PERSPECTIVE SKETCH

An art gallery with a conference room and work space required redesigning. The gallery is used for high-end events to showcase contemporary art exhibits. These exhibits challenge what has already been done in the art world and are looking to break barriers. PHASE THREE 6

Breaking barriers was used as the design concept. The preliminary sketches to the right show the process of incorporating the concept into the floor plan. An interior perspective sketch was drafted before digitally creating the building.

MAIN CORRIDOR RENDERING

HCD EXPO CHARRETTE

MAIN CORRIDOR SKETCH

HCD is a Health Care Design Expo that was hosted in Phoenix, AZ in November 2018. Industry professionals attend lectures and learn about new research and products in the health care industry. Four universities brought teams of design students to participate in a 48 hour charrette. Teams were instructed to design an entire specialized surgery center within the allotted time.

EXTERIOR RENDERING

I was one of the selected Ball State interior design students selected to participate. Our team came in first place. Shown here is our winning ENT surgical center design.

PR O JE CT S TAT E ME NT

The educational app developer, Etermax is expanding their company to a new location in Berlin, Germany. Maintaining productivity and creativity is crucial for this company and they need their work environment to reflect that for their employees. By providing physical and acoustical privacy, additional casual work locations, and social spaces, a positive level or productivity and happiness can be achieved. These adaptations to the design will help meet the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of the employees to produce a satisfactory work environment. In order to create this space, breaking away from the typical “open office” environment is imperative, as is understanding the exact needs people expect to be met in their office setting.

CONCEPTUAL PARTI DIAGRAMS

CONCEP T D E PICTION

Etermax is an educational app development firm, creating hit apps such as Trivia Crack. This company has found a way to combine education and technology. This concept will mirror the goals of the company by using a circuit board as a representation of technology, which will intermingle with three foundations of education: exploration, curiosity, and exploration. Not only do circuit boards illustrate technology, they depict connections and transportation. The connections made on a circuit board will be the foundation for creating connections between people, departments, and ideas in the building.
