Artistic Director’s Message Dear Friends; Welcome to Neptune Theatre’s 48th Season and my second as Artistic Director. What an exciting season it’s going to be! We have created an ambitious line up of powerful plays and re-imagined classics for a contemporary audience. From our Shakespeare ‘hat trick’ to the most endearing and enduring Broadway musicals, it truly is an exceptional line up. Subscribe to the entire season and we will bring a new world to your doorstep. From the streets of Renaissance Verona, to the streets of contemporary New York, we will take you beyond the rainbow as each story unfolds with passion, music, joy, laughter, and much drama. Discover the best that Neptune Theatre has to offer. Written by award-winning international success Morris Panych, 7 Stories is a touchingly funny, surrealist play about what happens when you take your life into your own hands.

BLITHE SPIRIT By Noël Coward

A second wife has nothing to fear from a dead first wife unless her ‘blithe spirit’ comes to claim him Remarried widower Charles Condomine invites an eccentric medium to his house to conduct a séance.  The result is the conjuring of his playful and conniving first wife, Elvira. Unhappy to find Charles remarried, Elvira launches a vengeful haunting resulting in an unexpected and hilarious outcome that is pure Noël Coward gold.

THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE By Martin McDonagh

A brilliant drama by award-winning Irish playwright Martin McDonagh Trapped by her old cantankerous mother, 40-year-old Maureen finds an opportunity to escape when a chance comes along to find love and make a new life for herself. Her mother however has other ideas, and her interference sets in motion a chain of deceptions and betrayals, heartbreaking tragedy, and savage irony.

Dorothy Gale dreams of what lies over the rainbow from her Kansas farm. When a twister carries her away to magical world, she must find the Wizard to get back home. Travel down the yellow brick road and beyond with Dorothy and friends for this memorable production.

FATHERS AND SONS By Don Hannah

What is it about fathers and sons? Fathers and Sons is both funny and touching as it tells the universal story of a father and son through the eyes of two Maritime men. Watch their relationship develop as they move from birth to death in four movements.  Canadian playwright Don Hannah presents a thoughtful story of this special relationship that reminds us all of the need for empathy and understanding between men.

Mmm…Shakespeare…d’oh! From the performer and creator of Bigger than Jesus, this one-man vocal spectacular features impressions of over 50 characters from TV’s “The Simpsons” in a hilarious performance of Shakespeare’s MacBeth!  Performed to audiences worldwide with spot-on impressions of Simpsons characters, this imaginatively staged version of the Bard’s work will leave you exhausted with laughter.

THE FLY FISHER’S COMPANION By Michael Melski
