ATHENS, Ga. - Senior Marshall Henderson scored 24 points, but Ole Miss dropped an SEC road battle at Georgia 61-60 on Saturday. Kenny Gaines scored 21 points for the Bulldogs and Charles Mann hit the go-ahead free throw with 1.5 seconds remaining to give Georgia the win. After a three-point play by Jarvis Summers tied the game at 60-all, Mann dribbled most of the final 30 seconds down before driving and cutting, drawing a foul from Ole Miss freshman Dwight Coleby. Mann missed the first free throw but made the second for the one-point lead. Gaines had nine points in a 13-0 run midway through the second half that gave Georgia its first lead since early in the game. Mann had 17 points for Georgia. Marshall Henderson made five 3-pointers, including four in the first half, and led the Rebels with 24 points. Ole Miss led 26-15 in the first half. Ole Miss led 40-37 before a four-point play by Gaines gave Georgia its first lead since 7-6 and started the run of 13 unanswered points. Gaines added another 3-pointer and two free throws as Georgia took a 50-40 lead. Ole Miss began its comeback after Georgia took its big lead at 53-42. Henderson, fouled on a 3-point attempt, made three free throws to cut the lead to 54-52. A jam by Anthony Perez tied the game at 54-all, but Perez was called for a technical foul for hanging on the rim. Gaines made one of two free throws to give Georgia a 55-54 lead. Following an offensive foul on Georgia’s Marcus Thornton, Henderson made two free throws to give the Rebels the lead. Summers, who had 11 points, added one free throw before Georgia’s Nemanja Djurisic scored on a baseline drive for a 57-57 tie.

OXFORD, Miss. - Jarvis Summers scores 22 and Anthony Perez scores 21, but the Rebels’ second-half comeback fell short as the Wildcats defeat Ole Miss 84-70. Julius Randle had 25 points and 13 rebounds, Aaron Harrison added 17 points for the No. 18 Wildcats. Kentucky dominated throughout most of the game, going on a 15-0 run midway through the first half to take a 25-11 lead that proved insurmountable. It was Randle’s 14th double-double of the season. Kentucky was active in the paint and had several alley-oop dunks, jumping over the Rebels’ overmatched defense. The Wildcats had seven dunks in the first half alone. Randle had a double-double before halftime, with 10 points and 10 rebounds as the Wildcats built a 42-25 lead. Kentucky shot 58.6 percent from the field in the first half, finishing on several high-percentage looks inside and shooting 6 of 13 from 3-point range. Kentucky had a big lead for most of the second half until a late Ole Miss rally. The Rebels cut it to 76-70 with 1:48 remaining after Perez banked in a 3-pointer, but Randle drove the lane and made a short jumper to stop the surge. The Rebels simply couldn’t contain Kentucky’s big men -- especially Randle. The 6-foot-9 freshman had an efficient night, going 6 of 7 from the field and 13 of 14 at the free throw line. It was his third straight double-double. But the rest of the Wildcats were good, too. James Young scored 16 points and Andrew Harrison added 10. Marshall Henderson scored 18 for Ole Miss, but shot just 5 of 17 from the field, including 5 for 14 from 3-point range. The Rebels made only 38.7 percent from the floor (24 of 62).
