Announcing An All NEW Event…

Tentative Date: October 27th, 2012 In 2006, the North Grenville Historical Society and the Municipality developed a series of walking tours for the historic downtown area of Kemptville. (

This Halloween, the Old Town Kemptville BIA would like to develop a “Kreepy Kemptville” event based on the Historical Society’s ghost tour of Kemptville. “Kreepy Kemptville” will feature a variety of events and games throughout the day, culminating in an evening Haunted Walk.

We Need Your Help! What would you like to see at the “Kreepy Kemptville” event? Some possibilities include:        

A Spooktacular Treasure Hunt (each person gets a card, which is stamped when they enter any BIA store; when the card is full, the bearer gets a prize) A BIA-wide sidewalk sale or indoor trick-or-treat (depending on the weather) A contest for the “best-dressed” business window A costume parade and contest for kids Ghost stories and sharing time (perhaps with kid-friendly snacks) A BBQ lunch (perhaps in support of a cause) A Haunted Walk based on the “Kreepy Kemptville” walking tour Crafts and game stations for kids (for example, a cupcake decorating station or a modern “bob” for apples area)

If you would be interested in helping to create, or be involved in, any of the above events, or if you have another idea for “Kreepy Kemptville,” please contact the BIA Coordinator, Angela Beking at

Please send your feedback by October 9th, 2012, as we will be discussing Kreepy Kemptville at the BIA Meeting of October 12th (8:00 a.m., Butler’s Victorian Pantry).
