All Ages FIND FIDO FRIDAYS Stop by the library every Friday throughout the summer and try to track down that pesky dog Fido who will be hiding somewhere in the Children’s Department. If you find him and tell us where he is, you’ll get a small prize! x
Fridays ﺍJune 1 - Aug. 10 ﺍAll day ﺍBoth libraries READ TO A DOG Young readers are invited to drop by and read to a cuddly canine. Upon arrival, check in at Children’s Services for a reading time. Trained therapy dogs are provided by Pets for Life, Inc. Reading sessions will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Saturdays ﺍJune 2; July 7; Aug. 4 ﺍ1:30 pm to 2:30 pm ﺍIndian Creek FAMILY CHESS NIGHT Come play chess with a worthy opponent at our Family Chess Nights. Boards and equipment will be provided. Kindergartners and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in and help create a collaborative piece of artwork to be displayed in the Children’s Department. Dress for a mess. Kindergartners and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Wednesday ﺍJune 6 ﺍ2:00 pm to 3:00 pm ﺍBoth libraries BLANKET FORTS AFTER HOURS R Gather up your blankets, sheets and flashlights, and bring the whole family for after-hours fun! We’ll enjoy a snack and stories around the “campfire” and then your family will have time to build a blanket fort and read together by flashlight. Duration: about an hour. Please arrive at the library by 7:00 pm to be admitted to this program. Once inside, participants may not leave and re-enter.
