ART DIRECTION & DESIGN DDB LAGOS / Christmas Bottle // DM // December 2010 DDB wanted to create an exciting and aspirational Xmas card that would Stand out and still appeal to the none Christians. The solution was a bespoke Bottle of none acholic wine that could transcend Xmas and act as an DM package as well.


COMMISSION DDB LAGOS, CORPORATE PROFILE // Company Profile // September 2009. Client: DDB Lagos. This corporate profile for DDB Lagos was packaged for an international audience against the backdrop of increasing interest in emerging market investments. The aim was to present the identity of global DDB without losing the local roots of the agency. The leather-bound volume is further enclosed in a black, metallic bubble wrap. The spread is clean, crisp and consistent with brand colours i.e. Yellow and black.


COMMISSION SARAFINA, WORLD CUP PROMOTION // Sponsorship Pack // December 2009. Client: Sarafina The word ‘Sawabona’ means ‘I respect you, I value you, you are important to me.’ To capture the spirit of the Sarafina world cup project, we used words and imagery that evoked a sense of mutual respect, communal pride and acknowledgement. The traditional raised fist represents African strength and resilience. In concept and design, the work salutes the great journey of the African people and this line runs through the entire material serving to coalesce all the ideas into one powerful statement of recognition of the many achievements and of a strong and proud people.


COMMISSION TWISTED MINDS, DEBUT ALBUM // Album Artwork, Launch Posters // May 2008. Client: Unified Hustle. A spirited rap duo with contrasting personalities! The album in-fold reflected the individual identities of this collaborating duo in the different designs of both sides; where a dark, rough, grunge look was implemented for Benny B, P.R.E benefited from a lighter, more vibrant swatch and more preppy.

OKLNG, a market leader in Natural Oil & Gas, needed a brand that would support its push to add the potentially lucrative Bio and lifestyle market to its client roster. A traditional, conservative brand deeply rooted in the community needed a new face appropriate to a contemporary and dynamic sector.

Illustration & Art Direction Diamond Bank // Market Re Launch // January 2001. Adapted the brand’s old look and feel with mordern minimaliat ilustrations for launch in the local Nigerian market by incorporating relevant cultural and social elements and fusing it with the brand. In-store branding was also created for several high brow areas of the country.


ART DIRECTION & DESIGN UAC // Rebranding // December 2007. Client: UAC A total rebranding effort for the then 100 year old brand which also required an extensive CI manual to be created for all their collaterals. The Logo redesign was notable as it carried the company’s proud heritage. The new logo had to maintain this and yet potray a fresh outlook on the future.


DDB Namibia, PROMOTION // OLD MUTUAL // September 20011. This was a set of posters for Old Mutual Jazz festival. The Old Mutual Jazz at the Theatre series offers audiences a sophisticated and intimate music experience with their favourite artists. Kunle Ayo, Mimi Ntenjwa and Asanda Bam are some of the leading artists who will offer fans joyous jazz moments in the next instalments. “Our objective is to fill the gap that exists in offering jazz artists a platform to lead their fans on a melodic journey. This also presents an opportunity for artists to promote their musical flair and spread their message to a broader audience through Old Mutual’s large global footprint.”


DDB Namibia, CORPORATE CAMPAIGN// THE NAMIBIAN PROCUREMENT FUND// September 20011. A Corporate Communication camping was created to launch this fund. This is a procurement finance product that supports the funding needs of entrepreneurs who have Successfully secured contracts to supply into the value chains of Local Authorities, Parastatals, Private Sector, and Central Government.

When DDB asked me for advice on how to create a brand identity their client Vigo’s Range of Malt Drinks, During the naming process, the two founders were eventually persuaded that their Mordancy, youthful, quirky personalities and their ’ Passion for the good life were the best foundation for creating a unique brand. The Vigo brand presents a genuine, friendly and informal voice to Consumers, whilst their brand mark reflects their serious attitude towards the stylish.
