Move and Play Active Start for Ages 3-5 This foundational program aims to develop early years physical literacy, cooperation and fundamental movement skills. At this stage developmentally appropriate activities will help participants feel more competent and comfortable participating in a variety of fun and challenging activities and games. Themes include early years gymnastics, soccer and baseball basics; roll, run, kick, throw! Through play and movement, they start to learn how to link skills together.

Shotokan Karate focuses on creating a philosophy of Tradition, Confidence and Excellence. Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 pm Okanagan Falls Resumes September 9th

$30 / month (registration due 1st class of the month) Ages 10 and up. Kurt is a third degree black belt of Canada Shotokan Karate and has been teaching since 1992.

A.K.A. (Awesome Kids Athletics) KALEDEN AWESOME KIDS ATHLETICS returns! New this year are theme days— glow dance, try-it sports, ninja-nastics and always a load of active free time. Coaches James and Corina are ready to roll with adventures in play. Grades K-5 Tuesdays 2:30-4:15 pm Session 1 October 8th—29th $30 Session 2 November 19th—Dec 10th $30 * Children are met at Kaleden School, with pick up at the Hall.

* New* Active Living Programs for Seniors Okanagan Falls Recreation Beginning September 2019

ActivAge™ is a free 3-month group-led physical activity program for inactive older adults. It introduces participants to physical activity and reinforces their commitment to incorporate it into their daily lives. The program is progressive with planned physical activities (stretching, activity, and cool-down) based on ActivAge™ training. This fun and social program will help get participants moving in a relaxed environment

Choose to Move is a 6-month model designed to introduce older adults to the habit of physical activity, help them meet new friends, and make a positive healthy lifestyle change. Choose to Move is free and flexible, and provides participants with the motivation and support to become more physically active. Participants work with a trained activity coach who will support them as together they develop a physical activity plan tailored specifically to each participant. Group meets every second Wednesday.

Yoga and Fitness—Adult and Teen Adult Drop-in Classes resume September 9th

Breathe, strengthen, and stretch. A variety of wonderful instructors lead you through basic yoga poses and connect them through breath, alignment and mindfulness. This low-impact fitness class is geared toward heart health, building strong bones & muscles, and improving the way we move. For those new to fitness, we work on basic moves. This mostly seated fitness class is ideally suited for those with joint or mobility limitations requiring a gentle approach to physical fitness. 8 week series Mondays 11:00-noon September 9th—November 4th $60 + gst Pre-registration required. Minimum 6 Late registration considered—please inquire.

Saddle up and SPIN your heart out! Join Kathy or Jackie through a choreographed 60 minute high intensity workout that will stimulate every muscle and “feel good” hormones in your body . These are commitment classes. Two sessions: Mondays 6:30 pm and / Or Wednesday 6:00 am. $65 + gst per session Starts September 23rd for 8 weeks

POWER UP your FITNESS with Jackie during a 60 minute fast moving strength, flexibility and cardio class on the TRX (suspension trainer).
