The 4 graphic elements are used in conjunction to form the Map of India, which also denotes railway tracks and connectivity between the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western parts of India.

Colour Symbolism / Concept

The 4 individual graphic elements rendered in 4 differnt colours represent the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern parts of India. In country as diverse as ours the 4 colours interwine the cultural differences to form one single entity which is the shape of India. Saffron & Green which are borrowed from the National ag colours are offset by two other characteristic Indian colours namely Indigo and Vermilion. Indigo which also represents the colour of the Ashoka Chakra in the Indian National Flag and Vermilion is the earthy red representing the ethos of rural India. Colour Values : Saffron (C0 M60 Y100 K0) Green (C60 M0 Y100 K0) Indigo (C100 M100 Y0 K20) Vermilion (C15 M100 Y90 K10)
