SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE - APRIL 30 Rabbi Dovid Fendel-Rosh Yeshiva of the Hesder Yeshiva of Sderot. Rabbi Fendel is a native of West Hempstead, Long Island and a graduate of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC). He has practically single handedly built the Yeshiva of Sderot, a Religious Zionist school for Advanced Torah Studies where all students serve in the IDF, and resurrected the city after and during continuous barrages of rockets and missiles over the last decade. He lives in Sderot with his wife and six children, and ensures that each member of the Yeshiva has a personal role in connecting and strengthening the community.

Upcoming Sisterhood Programs May 19th 7:30pm- Put on your dancing shoes (make sure they’re comfy) and meet us in the social hall at 7:30pm. Be ready to dance for an hour! No experience necessary. There is no charge but only open to Ohav members Come join us on Tuesday, May 31st at 7:30pm in the social hall for ZUMBA!! The cost is $10 per person. This will be a trial class. If there is interest for more, we will set up a regular class for the summer! No RSVP necessary, just come on down! The annual Ohav Sholom UJA Federation breakfast Sunday, May 1 at 9:30 AM in the synagogue social hall. The congregation is delighted to honor Ira Kolko for his unstinting and invaluable service to Ohav Sholom and the Jewish community. There will be a delicious breakfast & a guest speaker.
