Sisterhood has 18 Ohav teens who have signed up to be babysitters. There are two Jewish families who receive support from Hatzilu, who would appreciate clothing for their daughters. The annual Ohav Sholom UJA Federation breakfast Sunday, May 1 at 9:30 AM in the synagogue social hall. Scholar in Residence April 30th Rabbi Dovid Fendel Rosh Yeshiva of the Hesder Yeshiva of Sderot. Rabbi Fendel is a native of West Hempstead, Long Island and a graduate of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC). He has practically single handedly built the Yeshiva of Sderot, a Religious Zionist school for Advanced Torah Studies where all students serve in the IDF, and resurrected the city after and during continuous barrages of rockets and missiles over the last decade. He lives in Sderot with his wife and six children, and ensures that each member of the Yeshiva has a personal role in connecting and strengthening the community.
