Sisterhood has 18 Ohav teens who have signed up to be babysitters. Should you find yourself in need of a babysitter please e-mail Fran Green at We are asking for gently used clothing, in good condition, for four girls, ages 12 to 17. There are two Jewish families who receive support from Hatzilu, who would appreciate clothing for their daughters. The clothing can be brought to the synagogue & will be delivered to the families by our member, Ann Goldberg. Our next book will be Sima's Undergarments for Women by Ilana Stanger-Ross. TIME TBA.

The annual Ohav Sholom UJA Federation breakfast Sunday, May 1 at 9:30 AM in the synagogue social hall. The congregation is delighted to honor Ira Kolko for his unstinting and invaluable service to Ohav Sholom and the Jewish community. There will be a delicious breakfast and a guest speaker. Scholar in Residence April 30th Rabbi Dovid Fendel Rosh Yeshiva of the Hesder Yeshiva of Sderot. Rabbi Fendel is a native of West Hempstead, Long Island and a graduate of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC). He has practically single handedly built the Yeshiva of Sderot, a Religious Zionist school for Advanced Torah Studies where all students serve in the IDF, and resurrected the city after and during continuous barrages of rockets and missiles over the last decade. He lives in Sderot with his wife and six children, and ensures that each member of the Yeshiva has a personal role in connecting and strengthening the community.
