From the Desks of Kathy Patterson, Director—Guest writer Debi Holroyd

APRIL...a busy, busy month here at the center! The Senior Games take place in both Harrison and Jasper so once a week participants from here, with Kathy at the wheel, will head to one place or the other to compete. They always have a lot of fun and come back with good stories to tell. Also during this month we make made from scratch CINNAMON ROLLS - our biggest and most popular fundraiser. Please read the attached flier for details and then display it somewhere and/or show your friends and neighbors. They are delicious! Last but not least we will be taking orders up until Easter for our fluffy, buttery hot rolls. Get your order in by the 16th, they’ll be ready for pickup on the 18th, just in time for Easter dinner! Only $5/dozen!

Be Well—Live Well Workshop, Thursday the 3rd & 10th from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 at the Gentry Senior Center. Van leaves here a little after 1:00. If you are unemployed age 55+ with low income you might be the person we are looking for. Please contact us for more information. 524-5735 ask for Kathy or Debi

HealthRYTHMS is coming to Siloam Springs Senior Center in May!!! HealthRYTHMS is an evidence-based recreational music making program, developed by neurologist Dr. Barry Bittman. Not only is it good for us, it’s also FUN!!! This program has shown scientifically to boost your immune system, improve your mood and reduce stress. HealthRYTHMS drumming circle is great exercise, a form of self-expression, camaraderie and support, and it is nurturing. You do not have to have any musical background to participate in this workshop. Come and join us for an hour of fun! It will knock your socks off! Watch for dates and time!

Wii Bowling goes on almost every afternoon. If you are interested in playing or learning to play hang around after lunch and join the fun!

Pinch As the crowded elevator descended, Mrs. Wilson became increasingly furious with her husband, who was delighted to be pressed against a gorgeous blonde. As the elevator stopped at the main floor, the blonde suddenly whirled, slapped Mr. Wilson, and said, “That will teach you to pinch!” Bewildered, Mr. Wilson was halfway to the parking lot with his wife when he choked, “I...I...didn’t pinch that girl.” “Of course you didn’t,” said his wife, consolingly. I did.” “The Siloam Springs Center is an equal opportunity provider, and employer”
