by oetaok
While August signals a fresh start for students in the classroom, this month we strive to bring you stories of enduring legacies. Ireland Made with Love features stories of Ireland’s masterful artisans, giving you a deep dive into artistic pieces skillfully hand made by tradition. Learn about a region’s conflicted past with a new 5-part series, Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland, beginning Monday, August 28 at 8 p.m.
Another highly conflictual but brilliant program to tune in for Monday, August 21 at 8 p.m. is Great Performances: Leonard Bernstein’s Kaddish Symphony, which exemplifies the traditional contradiction between a person’s doubt and belief.
As we move through the dog days of summer, the finales of some of our dramas approach, including Ridley Sunday, August 6 at 7 p m and Grantchester at 8 p m But as they come to a close, our summer of dramas continues all through August A chilling, suspenseful mystery, Our House, begins with a woman who arrives home only to discover strangers are living there and no one remembers her, airing Thursday, August 31 at 11 p m And a new season of Midsomer Murders premieres Thursday, August 24 at 8 p.m.
