Time to take on New Jersey...no not the Real Housewives of New Jersey or Snooki, well maybe Paulie D, Ronnie, Vinny or The Situation - them I’d consider, but no, we had to go it alone. The ride was fast and steady as we chatted on an app or two on our smart phones which made the drive to Resorts Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey not bad at all. The first thing the guys did was escort me over to meet singing bartender, Blanche. I’m so happy they did. She was wild, funny and very talented. She sang, mixed cocktails, turned it out, and the boys loved her. www. singingbartender.com Our itinerary was set for the next two days and that was fine by me. We checked in, dropped our bags and made our way to Pro Bar to meet Joel Ballesteros, Aaron Gomes and Mark Dahl. It was the One Year Anniversary of Pro Bar. They had performers from the cast of Believe...Divas in a Man’s World: Judy Tenuta, Crystal Waters, Jason Dottley, and music man himself, DJ Sin Morera were booked for the big event. It was simply grand. I also chatted with Christopher Mellon and Elizabeth Ginocchio of Perfect Partners. They spoke of their dating site created for the LGBT community and how someone can find the person of their dreams. Hmm… I might have to sign up and find that man. Yes, I am single. Happy Anniversary, Pro Bar! A fabulous time. Thank you. We zipped back from A.C. N.J. for the Get Out Awards @ Splash Bar. The show was hosted by Miss Bianca Del Rio who kept the show moving along, and knowing Del Rio, she made it a point to finish on time…it was over at 9:57...lights out! Now that’s perfect timing. All who came out to present for the Get Out Awards were: Michael Musto and I, Jesse Volt, Dougie Meyer, Roxy Brooks, Sasha Seven, JJ Mack, Rob Ordonez, Tracy Von Becker-Legge, Francis Legge, Lady Clover Honey, Andrew Werner, Tym Moss, Lovari, Yusef Xtravaganza, Yuhua Hamasaki, Romeo Tragedy, FiFi DuBois, Antonio Tirado, Romeo, Romero, Kelly King, Andrew Werner, Ron B, Adam Barta, Rober, Lady Clover Honey, Luscious Lola, and Ryan Janek Wolowski. It’s always fun coming together with others in

nightlife to honor and celebrate the nightlife world we live in. The following received awards: Geronimo, XL, Rockit@ XL Club, Posh Bar and Lounge, Industry Bar, Barracuda Bar, Splash Bar, No Parking, DJ Steve Sidewalk, DJ Scotty Rox, Peppermint, Sharon Needles, Boots & Saddles, Holly Dae, Boxers, Therapy, Victoria Chase, Cole from Industry, Rock Bar, Monster Bar, and the one and only, Lady Bunny. Other winners: John Greco for Honorary Man of the Year, Bianca Del Rio for Best LGBT Comedy Performer, and Sherry Vine won Icon of the Year... Congratulations! Performances by: Geo Louis, Aiden Leslie, Marti Gould Cummings, Melania Sorte Martinez, Victoria Chase, Eiby Leandra and Nikki Exotika. It was also a pleasure seeing: Bob Pontarelli, Brian Landeche, Greg Jones, Italo Lopez, Mark Schulte, Carlos Aguayo, Christopher Gohike, Oscar Apaydinli, Marty Thomas, Marissa Rosen, Sexy Waiters Peter Picciano and Johnny Romero; Michael Everaert, Cheyne Hauk, Geary Marcello, Andrey Girard, Dustin Winters, Jeff Eason, Len Evans. It was time to dash, so Bianca Del Rio and I, Jesse Volt and Dustin Winters headed for a night on the town in New York City. The first stop was Russian Love Machine and the Grand Opening of Rasputin. The night was sponsored by Balls Vodka, . The Lady of the Ropes worked her magic hosting the door…Yes, Miss Rose Black. She knows how to work it and she works it real good. Love you, Rose. As we walked through and checked out the new venue, we ran into Johnny Sanford and Jay Roth, both floating around working a look, and looked hot doing it. The beats hitting in the were from DJs Sammy Jo, Blacky II, and Dan Wender. On the DJs Patent Leather Daddy and Jeff Chatterton served it up big time…they made my feet move. The night was presented by Mr. Black, Andres Rigal and Luke Nero. Hosts: Brian Rafferty, Blayne Ross, Kyle Brincefield, Mikey Pop, Edward Vigilette and Jason Preston...need I say more? The names listed should tell you it was Hot and No Rules. It was great seeing nightlife photographer, Santiago Felipe, and the man running the ship, Morgan McLean. Great night - and I will be back.   We scooted and skedaddled to G Bar for a quick cocktail and while there, we ran into

the Men of Hot and Sexy, Franco DiLuzio, Mark Lander and Vincent Vega - such a pleasure. At that point, we kept it moving and headed to XL Club to finish off our evening. At the door, the man who gives great hugs, Mr. Aaron. Love seeing you. As we entered, it was all kisses and hugs like one big love fest. We found our spot in the packed house, laughed, had a few cocktails and socialized. At one point, Beto Sutter of XL Nightclub chatted with us until he dashed away to tend to the needs of the evening. Congratulations to John Blair, Beto Sutter, Brandon Voss and Tony Fornabaio on winning the Get Out Awards for Best Club and Best once a week party at Rockit. As you know, summer is upon us and NYC Nightlife Promoter Daniel Nardicio is ready to go. He has announced his 2012 lineup for Fire Island. He has Liza Minnelli, Alan Cumming, Margaret Cho, Sandra Bernhard, Jill Sobule, and Meow-Meow. All good to go and ready to take on the island. WOW Nardicio, way to go, Mister. I’m excited and can’t wait…oh and let’s not forget the underwear parties…Yummy. Thank you. As I was hitting the weights with my trainer, Steven Blittersdorf at Steel Gym, I was invited to the 6th year anniversary celebration for the gym on May 16.This is one event I am looking forward to, and hey, I might find a man -- who knows? It saddens me to report this, but I find that I must speak about it. Bianca Leigh sent me a shared posting on Facebook from Romero Tragedy on the beating of his friend, Angel Luis Illuminati. The vicious attack on was because he is gay. He was beat by a group of 7 men here in NYC. I’ve said it and I will say it again. When does «It Gets Better»? The campaign needs more than words - We Need Action. This should not be happening, but it is. We need justice; and everyone needs to be made aware of this situation. We need to revisit the old slogan: «Silence = Death». We need to apply it again to rid the toxic anger against the LGBT community. Posting from Angel: «Last night I thought I was going to die. I was jumped by 7 guys I didn’t know just because I was gay. I was walking quietly, they hit me with sticks , kicked me . I thank god for me still being alive.” ( By Angel Luis Illuminati) Best Always, Frankie C.  Email me at thecolumnbyfrankiec@gmail.com   Follow me on twitter: @FrankieC_

Guten Tag Schatzie! I had a gorgeous, crazy week in Germany! I was HAGsausted when I landed so went directly to bed in my glamorous suite that The Axel Hotel always puts me in. I awoke 10 hours later and went to dinner with Berlin’s #1 Drag Star and birthday gal, Gloria Viagra, Electro Baby Jane and my ex (and amazing wig stylist!), Marec. On Friday night I had a show in the restaurant of Axel in exchange for the suite for a week- it’s well worth it! It was packed with so many friends that I hadn’t seen in a long time and I had a great time. The next morning Gloria and I were off to Dresden for a club show. I’d never been there but it is a beautiful city! The club was fun, they know how to party in the East! lol. Then Sunday we made our way back for Berlin’s best gay party, GMF. Gloria was DJing and I was performing for their 16th Anniversary. As usual, GMF was PACKED and crazy fun. It’s one of the best parties I’ve been to in the world. Monday night we had a delicious dinner at La Cocotte to celebrate Gloria’s birthday and then the next morning I was on my way back to NYC. The following weekend I was back in Our Nation’s Capitol for my monthly residency at Level One and Cobalt. I always have fun there, the dinner show is packed and of course upstairs later at Cobalt it’s madness. Josh Rosenzweig from Here TV and Daniel joined me. We popped over to Swish Edition

NY-2012-05-09.indd 12

for an interview in-between the shows. Cobalt has the sexiest bartenders, all in jock straps, and the “hetero” one kept filling me with Jack Daniels. I was like, “Hunty, you don’t have to get me drunk to take advantage of me!” We staggered into the W Hotel around 3am and were all a bit hung over the next day. But we rallied to make it to Arias With A Twist. Yes the brilliant show that I saw about 15 times in NYC was playing in DC. Joey Arias was on fire and we had a few giggles in her dressing room after the show. Then had dinner with my dear friends Bruce and Bobby. We drove up to Mount Airy Sunday to have lunch at Bruce’s restaurant, Laurienzo Brick Oven. The opening night of the “new and improved” Sherry Vine Show at Industry on Wednesdays now was a smash success. The joint was full and we had a blast. I had 4 dancers; Ricky JMV, Antyon LeMonte, Dane Sorensen and Devin Snow, a new video parody by Francis Legge and the rocking DJ Scotty Rox!! I miss Barracuda of course but after 7 years it was time for a little change. And Industry is hot, packed with hot boys and with a great hot sound system - so please come visit me!! HOT! This past weekend was filled with wigs hunty. Friday night I had a show in Worcester, MA, about an hour from Boston. Two local queens hired me to come up and perform at their opening night for a new gay party at

Club Universe. When Peter Pan bus dropped me off, Viola and Nikita were there to claim me. They whisked me off to Sweet T Diner (the T is for Tea, not Tina!). Now girl, you know I don’t usually eat but the food was sooooooo yummy and authentic Southern Cuisine; REAL sweet tea, fried okra, fried catfish - heaven!!! The turnout was less than expected but we made the most of it and the queens up there were nice and outrageous! I had fun chatting with Andrew, the publicist on the new show Eden’s World. I took the bus home and arrived in NYC just in time to throw a face on and head down to Splash for the Get Out Awards where I was being honored with the Icon Award. And what an honor! Michael Musto, Francis Legge and Lovari presented me with this special award and EVERYONE was there. Looking especially gorgeous - my dearest Peppermint. Werk girl. My friend Logan picked me up at Splash and we gathered my friend Erik and headed out to Rutgers New Jersey for my show at The Den. I’ve been there before and it’s a great crowd to perform for. They really appreciate a show! The queen bee there, Alexis, and I were cackling in the dressing room and the shot boy, Frank, was giving me Tony Danza circa 1977 Taxi era!!! That’s what I’m talking about!! LOL! BIG NEWS: My new variety show, SHE’S LIVING FOR THIS, is on Here TV!! You can also see them at www.HereTV.com/ sheslivingforthis OR -JUST ANNOUNCED!!!! You can now watch the full episodes on Hulu.com!!!! It’s my life long dream come true! Total Carol Burnett meets Cher meets Laugh In meets toilet humor with some sexy boys thrown in. BY MRS. HELLO

Okay, hello. Happy birthday, Illuminati! Just remember, when you light a birthday candle on this or any other day, you might just be reenacting a minor ritual of illumination. Now isn’t that just the icing on the cake? Such fuss, or as someone once said, “Much ado about nothing.” Well, being illuminated is never nothing, nor is enlightenment anything to sneeze about unless, of course, you have a bout with hay fever. Anyway, strive to know, not just pretend that you do know. When asked after that very same question whether she did in fact “know”, Diane Sawyer was informed in quite certain terms that yes she in fact did “know”. “She”, of course, was none other than Miss Whitney Houston, if you’d like to “know.” In these troubled and trying times, it is more important than ever to get your act together, get good at one or two things, if not more, and proceed with determination and certainty. For gosh sakes, “Know”. I say bully, and not just to all the Taurus’s out there, but to everybody who takes it by the horns and shakes it loose together using any and all assistance available, not in a bad way but more in a mutual effort to rise up and out of this oppressed society and enter a world of enlightenment and knowledge. Oh my stars. Read. Talk to each other. Talk with strangers, despite what your Mother told you. Pitch your projects, in three minutes or less. K-n-o-w what you are talking about. Learn a new word or two, and use astrological guidance to be one of your “personal assistants” on this journey. My favorite model and a true model for life, Carmen Dell’Orefice, who at 80 years old, still works the catwalk and appears in print, says, “Now, more than ever, I’m ready for this photo shoot called life!” Read your horoscope. Kiss someone. Smile for the camera. After all, you’re all stars.

If you desire the advantage of knowing how and when to make the best moves you can in your life, Mrs. Hello would love to assist you with personalized Astrological guidance. The cost is nominal, the benefit great, and your confidence assured. Address interest in these services, as well as any other astrologically inclined correspondence to: helloworldproductions@gmail.com and be sure to include “Mrs. Hello” in the subject line.

to recall that you are not just one thing or another, but rather a collection of your experiences including good, bad, fun, happy, sad. They make up a bigger picture. In the midst of all this, look for a sounding board and make sure it is someone you can really trust… you’ll see. BLAKE SKJELLERUP/MORRISSEY CANCER JUN 22–JUL 22: Shazzam! Now you’re this; now you’re that; then a dog, now a cat… Like some of your fellow stars, there seems to be a slight identity crisis going on over at your house - which is exactly where you need to start your season of redefinition. Trust me, nobody else is going to blink an eye, but you should. Chances are a “real” you will bring calm, relief, and joy. Accept no substitutes. EDDIE X/SIMON REX

of style. You are something of a slave to fashion/trends, and the like, but really…a fad has a short shelf life. The fundamentals of a good foundation can make the difference between a disaster waiting to happen, and a sure thing that’s made to last and be here when others are only faint memories. Apply this builder’s tip to your life, and see what a developer you can be. RU PAUL/GERARD BUTLER SAGITTARIUS NOV 23–DEC 21: Seems like driving downhill without breaks these days. Some of those in whom you have placed much faith have not lived up to their promises, but you may have to stick with them for the time being, as time is at a premium for you right now. The horizon brings very different people with it. This will be refreshing, but be cautious as the curves remain slippery when wet. Buckle up, for goodness sake. NICK STAHL/KIEFER SUTHERLAND

ARIES MAR 21–APR 19: They climb a mountain because it’s there, but also because they can. In so doing, they “conquer” personal blocks and reveal potential and rewards only imagined before. We all have our mountains to climb. This quarter, some challenges, if met, will uncover much for the formation of your next level. These waters need not be uncharted, because as you know, sometimes at first we don’t succeed, so try, try again. Try one for me! MIKE MANNING/HAYDEN CHRISTIANSEN

TAURUS APR 20–MAY 21: From soup to nuts, that’s you when it comes to being holistic. You definitely represent all aspects. However, lately you have had less soup and considerably more nuts. There is nothing wrong with expanding your circle, but let the current carnival roll up and vanish into the night. Truth be told, you will never miss them. The light and easy you experienced with some people is a good style to remember. Maybe try to do so over the next few weeks and you should find a new spring in your step. LANCE BASS/GEORGE CLOONEY GEMINI MAY 22–JUN 21: There is sometimes a moment when you come to an abrupt halt, and as if given a new vantage point from which to view, we suddenly “get it.” This is soon to be happening for you. It won’t hurt

NY-2012-05-09.indd 22

LEO JUL 23–AUG 23: It would seem that being the ever-capable captain of your ship is producing some smooth sailing these days. It is a good sign and your expanding the playing field has benefited you as well as those that have aligned with you. It is now time to turn some attention to matters of a more personal nature. You are behind in this column, but you are really the only one who knows that, so look for those who have something to give as well as something to get this time. Let family help keep you grounded. JEFFREY KALINSKY/ANTONIO BANDERAS VIRGO AUG 24–SEP 22: Focus is on celebration and achievement over the next few weeks - everything from milestones to small personal victories, but it is all important because you played a part – not only in your own, but in others’ as well. The planning side of you continues to be effective, but a nagging notion to let loose and enjoy will attempt to take center stage. You can be sure that a little of both just may satisfy. So this time, you don’t have to pick and choose. KRISTY MCNICHOL/TYLER PERRY

LIBRA SEP 23–OCT 23: A busy and full spring is sure to usher in an active summer, so why not take a little time to organize things on the home front, and pay attention to other mundane things like record keeping and other boring, but necessary concerns. The good news is that once these are attended to, you will again be free to indulge, maybe even travel, this time free of bothersome burden. A significant individual from the past makes a cameo appearance, with a message. CLIVE BARKER/MARIO LOPEZ SCORPIO OCT 24–NOV 22: Everything old is new again…well, maybe not everything. More importantly, some things never go out

CAPRICORN DEC 22–JAN 20: You are delivering your usual excellent results, yet the moon just past has swayed your steadfast nature, and you are exhibiting a vulnerability not often displayed. The key here is being okay with it, and letting others help you work through things. Realizing you can possess actual human qualities is the beginning of giving yourself a break. Oh, and as for your work, etc.? You will remain on top of your game. but you knew that, didn’t you? TOM WHITMAN/RYAN SEACREST

AQUARIUS JAN 21–FEB 18: You are feeling a bit like the middle man in a tug of war. You want to step in and address certain situations with more than usual. Your new trend is to be more conscientious and empathetic, something relatively new on your agenda. Some aspects holding you back from fully taking on that role are desire to re-focus on work, and to clean up some unfinished business from the last couple of years. Go slow; this is all good direction. Just keep an eye on balance. You are favored this round. ELLEN DEGENERES/TAYLOR LAUTNER

PISCES FEB 19–MAR 20: You have become something of a walking contradiction. One side is clipping coupons while the other is ordering room service at a swanky hotel. There is never anything wrong with mixing it up. After all, variety is said to be the spice of life. But unless you want to live in a parallel universe of your own making, some decisions need to be made. This sort of existence is exciting, but it takes a lot of effort to keep up, much less the mixed messages you send to those in your eclectic sphere. TIZIANO FERRO/ROB KARDASHIAN
