Holly Dae, Ramona Rizzo (of VH1’s Mob Wives) and Frankie C @ the Cover Release Party for Ramona Rizzo on Odyssey Magazine at Bamboo 52

The Gays of New York City came together for a fabulous night of cocktails and sushi, hosted by Odyssey Magazine, for the cover with Ramona Rizzo of VH1’s Mob Wives. Miss Rizzo posed for pictures, signed covers, and hung out all night with the boys. As we filled the back area of Bamboo 52, she opened her arms and embraced the boys. She is no stranger to Gay Boys and Drag Queens and made herself right at home as she enjoyed every minute of it. The cover shot by Jeff Eason at Elmo Restaurant was brilliant. I want to give a big Thank You Bob Pontarelli for letting us photo-shoot at Elmo, the incredible Roberto Novo of Roberto Novo Salon, for his amazing hair work; Philip Whitehurst for his flawless makeup job; Clint Spires for assisting and providing hot beats; and to the boys Jeffrey Wachman and Matthew Geisler for bringing their sexy to the shoot. Great job everyone! Seen out: Michael Musto, Jeff Eason, Jeffrey Wachman, Matthew

Geisler, Joey Israel, Eddy Barrena, Chris Wragg, Roxy Brooks and Holly Dae, just to name a few. Well the night didn’t stop there. Ramon Rizzo and the boys moved onto “Queen” at Industry to see Dallas DuBois (Miss Cherry Grove 1st runner-up, 2nd place 2012). Miss DuBois honored the Mob Wife on stage by saying, “Don’t be upset and don’t hit me, but the girls and I are thinking of going out as the Mob Wives for Halloween.” Miss Rizzo was honored and said, “It’s a big compliment when Drag Queens want to dress up as you. That’s when you know you’re doing it right.” She enjoyed the show and a good time was had by all. In the show that night: Skyla Versai, Brenda Dharling, Kizha Carr, Pixie Aventura, Holly Dae, Phi Phi O’Hara of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and hot beats by DJ David Serrano.  It was time to enjoy the Labor Day weekend, so Caesar Monroy and I made our way around New York City. Our first stop was the Bowery Diner for dinner and cocktails...if you pop in, order the Frankie C favorite - Jack Daniel’s and Ginger Beer yummy. Our Labor Day Bar Crawl started with Splash Bar, a quick chat with Alex and Keith at the door before heading in to enjoy a cocktail by the sexy Judah Gavra. He worked his shaker and banged out a few as we tipped a dancer or two before heading out. Next stop, Rawhide…for a beer and a few pleasantries with Brad, the door guy. He knows customer service and how to greet the gays. As we entered, we looked to our left and on the box was Sexy Latin Papi Eric dancing away and working his money maker. We kicked back a beer, gave Eric a few bills, and headed out. It was time to head to “The Underground” to see Dallas DuBois and Kim Aviance stir up some trouble as the boys worked the room to the music played by Serving Ovahness. It was bass, bam, boom, shirts off and nipples out as the Hot Daddies and Muscle Boys did it up Hard Labor Style. The night was presented by Twitch Productions, and can I tell you, they certainly know how to do it up in style. Dancing on the bar, Sweet and Sexy Dalton Franklin, and serving behind the bar, Mike Dreyden...famous for his legendary butt scene, but that’s another story.

Seen out: Chase Hostler and Damian Furtch. I love seeing them running around together. It’s like the Green Giant and the Little Sprout… sort of like when Jeff Eason and I run around together. Hugs! It’s always a pleasure. It was Pixie Aventura’s third year anniversary of her being in New York City, so we headed to Barracuda Lounge for a quick celebration cocktail to cheer the newcomer to our fine city. Pixie, along with DJ David Serrano and Kizha A. Carr, turned it out. Every Sunday at the “Kitty Kat Kabaret”, it’s always an adventure. Hugs darling. Mazel Tov. Our bar crawl ended at the Monster Bar and Club in the West Village, the Oldest Gay Dance Club in New York City. If you’ve not been down to visit, I say get that butt of yours down there and enjoy a night out; and get one of their frozen cocktails - they are legendary! At the door, we were greeted by Carlos Chang and Juan and chatted for a bit before going inside. As we entered, mixing it up at the upstairs bar was Mitch Ferrino (who, just so you know, turns it behind the decks on Wednesdays) and Freddy Ordanez. We had a beer and some great conversation before making our way downstairs to the club. Joining Caesar and I was Willie Estrella who was looking all pumped along with his popped nipples. I said, “You better put them things away before you poke someone’s eye out.” At the downstairs bar, Greg and Rodrigo along with the other Monster family members, Francisco, Sergio and Lee Lee worked it out as if they were on a runway, moving to the music being served by beat master, DJ Bill Coleman. His music carried me from song to song, but as you know, the night had to come to a close and what better way to end a perfect holiday weekend. September 16th is the return of the infamous “Griffin Sundays”. The cast of Season 3... Brian Rafferty and Shawn Paul Mazur along with DJ Vito Fun and the Lady of the Ropes, Miss Roze Black. Welcome back. We look forward to Sunday Fun Day! Congratulations to Yuhua Hamasaki, Miss Fire Island 2012. Happy Birthday, Eddy Barrena Best Always,  Frankie C. the wonderful world of wigs BY SHERRY VINE

Ohhh girl! After several years of hating my front teeth, and being abused by Epiphany calling me “Snaggletooth”, I decided to get them fixed. I went to a dentist on a friend’s recommendation and my crooked jaw literally hit the floor when he said it would cost about $10,000! Well, that settled that. I could live with it. Then I was asked to perform at a benefit in Atlanta for PALS (they take care of pets for people who need help caring for their pets) and, of course, I waived my fee. Some of the organizers of PALS took me to dinner and it came up that one of them was the top dentist in Atlanta. He said, “You need to come back for our other benefits.” And I, half-jokingly, said, “Sure. And you can fix my teeth in exchange!” Hunty,

2012-09-12.indd 14

wouldn’t you know it, he said, “ok”. I wasn’t sure if he was serious, but I knew I was. Then last month, he and his husband were guests on the same Atlantis Cruise that I was performing on and he brought equipment to take my molds - then I knew he was serious! Well, I just got back and my new smile is perfect and it makes me soooo happy! A big grateful thank you to Thomas Sparkman, D.D.S. of Atlanta!!!!! (I’m smiling!) Speaking of Epiphany, we recently celebrated our one year anniversary of “The Blonde Leading The Blonde” at Therapy. We’ve actually been doing the show off and on for 5 years, but one year at Therapy where it is the craziest party on Mondays. You would think it was a Saturday night or a holiday; it’s packed for the show, and afterwards people are dancing and partying. Not many people have nice things to say about Epiphany, but I enjoy working with her lol! Thanks to Paul, Tom and the entire staff - we love you! Over Labor Day Weekend, I did an afternoon pool show at Paradise in

Asbury Park. I love working there. The other queens are hilarious and sweet (mwah to Alexis and Seymour), the staff is supportive and fun; the owner, Shep Pettibone, turns it out on the decks, and the crowd is very appreciative! The rain was threatening to move the party inside, but they threw me on the roof and I gave it to them. It started to mist and drizzle, but I just channeled my inner “Diana Ross in Central Park” and sang my heart out. It was kinda appropriate for my new parody “Let’s Have A PeePee”! lol. If you want a good laugh, there is a sick, twisted, hysterical musical parody of the movie, “Silence of the Lambs”. It’s actually been running for two years, but I hadn’t seen it until Perez Hilton invited me to attend the show with him. It is a scream! The over-the-top performances are right on and it’s super creative. With songs like, “If I Could Smell Her Cunt”, how could you not have a good time?!?  MEOW! BY WILL I. HAVETOCHANGEMYNAME

Hopefully this week’s Odyssey finds you fully recovered from the lovely Labor Day weekend events… and there were plenty to be caught up in. The early holiday weekend, we caught IRINA at Club Papi at Micky’s in L.A. and she sang her hot new dance number, “Something About You.” She is amazing live and so petite! We love the mix she sang which was a mash of the Eddie Amador mix and the Bimbo Jones version. It was a great start to a long and fun weekend. There was also the inaugural launch of Matinée in Los Angeles which was initiated in Ibiza, Spain. Now a multi city weekend long affair, complete with A-list performers, DJ’s and attendees, Los Angeles was lucky enough to have Adam Lambert and Taryn Manning headline the Saturday night party which was held in the monstrous and memory-filled Circus Disco. It was like visiting a fun old friend… and that friend is drunk. Brought to you by LA’s premiere party promoter, Paul Nichols, with some help from NYC’s Patrick Crough and Jake Resnicow. Matinée was a blast. Their sweet and accommodating staff made sure we had all of our needs sated from Sam Ortiz to Geoffrey checking us in. This festival is a must-attend if you are lucky enough to have it land in your backyard. Now for the performances. Taryn Manning (yes, from the movies and TV) whose new single “Send Me Your Love” is killing on the dance charts lit up the stage and sang to the Sultan and Ned remix of her song. Flanked by two dancers, she sang her heart out and the crowd was loving it. A crowd that included Lance Bass, DJ legend, Eddie Amador, and a hot date as well as a blast from our past, Maxee Maxwell from Brownstone. We chatted Maxee up and found out that she and Taryn are releasing music on the same label, and she was there to support and dance. Adam Lambert sang two remixes, looked handsome and sounded great. The first song was “Trespassing” which is reminiscent of “We Will Rock You” by Queen even in its remix form. Then he sang “Cuckoo” which made the whole crowd jump up and go… well, cuckoo for at least 5 minutes. It’s hard to say goodbye to summer when it’s still as hot as it is, but with new music coming from Nelly Furtado, Pink, Mika and Pet Shop Boys, there will be plenty to keep us warm.

BY MRS. HELLO

Okay, hello. Do you ever get the feeling that you have forgotten something or left out something crucial? We all do from time to time, but in the next few weeks, the astrological climate dictates that frustration and dissatisfaction, oh, and that missing link feeling will be rampant. This is not fun, you say… you’re right, I say, but hang in there for now. Communications are getting more and more confusing, so maybe a good way to counter this would be to proceed with an exacting path and avoid being all over the darn place. I know I find comfort in directness in my journey; it has it all over being, well, all over. But wait, we’re not all over yet… some of these frustrations and delays actually show they benefit us somewhere down the line, mind you, but benefit nonetheless. This might go hand in hand with screwing down the communication floor boards. (It’s good work if you can get it.) This results in otherwise talkative people not knowing what to say. (You see, those benefits are already showing up in Spades.) The one sure key to unlock some of these doors is to marry imagination with intellect, not keep them separated. This way you will have something closer to a fighting chance, and that’s always good. As Ed Sullivan said, “We’ve got a really big ‘shoe’.” Read your horoscope. Kiss someone. Take time to make time. After all, you’re all stars. ARIES MAR 21-APR 19: It’s been said that “Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread”. Well, this does hold true for you in the weeks to come, so learn to slow down the excitement in favor of completeness when it comes to making decisions and transitions. Your sign is about to emerge above all the others making you the ball of energy that will lead the way into many things for yourself and others. So, know before you go. ROSIE O’DONNELL/HAYDN CHRISTENSEN

TAURUS APR 20-MAY 21: Bond. James?? No, it’s more like Super Glue for the body and soul for you, especially the body as you advance your social standing by laying down - well, you understand. Let this not become a power struggle. You already have the power as long as you don’t let it go too much to your head. Remember a cool exterior and a hot interior will benefit you most at this time. JOHN WATERS/GEORGE CLOONEY GEMINI MAY 22-JUN 21: If you were bookends, you would more closely resemble salt and pepper rather than Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. You see, one of you just isn’t enough, personality wise that is, so be sure not

2012-09-12.indd 36

If you desire the advantage of knowing how and when to make the best moves you can in your life, Mrs. Hello would love to assist you with personalized Astrological guidance. The cost is nominal, the benefit great, and your confidence assured. Address interest in these services, as well as any other astrologically inclined correspondence to: helloworldproductions@gmail.com and be sure to include “Mrs. Hello” in the subject line.

to send out too many mixed messages. Even though you could double whammy them at any given moment, it’s best just to stick with a Double-Double, to go. Animal Style. CHRIS COLFER/ZACHARY QUINTO CANCER JUN 22-JUL 22: Ah, the Bella Luna. The best way to know what’s going on with you right now is to be less concerned with the changing tides of your ever changing moods, and a little more focused on that Big Pizza Pie in the Sky, the moon. Which, by the way, does have a thing or two to do with the tides, okay? Go to the trouble of making others feel welcome and your efforts will pay off handsomely. JANE LYNCH/VIN DIESEL

LEO JULY 23-AUG 23: Your usual hard-working self is up to snuff as we turn the seasonal corner, so much so that you are now doing more micro-managing and conceptualizing than ever. This is all good, but keep in mind that when the hands do need to be applied, you are the best one for the job. You might seem a little abrasive to some, but simple play your ever-expanding “Humanity” card and all will be well. BRAD GORESKI/MARLON WAYANS VIRGO AUG 24-SEP 22: Talk about going down one side and up the other. You could run for office with the confusing, yet all-encompassing coverage you deliver these days. Try this on: your concept, and then your reality - is it a fit, or is one sleeve grossly different from the other, so to speak. Use your impressive tailoring skills to make a match, and you can move right through to the next chapter, no problem. NATE BERKUS/TYLER PERRY

LIBRA SEP 23-OCT 23: Values, family and otherwise, come into the picture clear and sharp now. Use your innate feel for beauty and correctness to lead the way when dealing with work as well as your ever-increasing social calendar. Try to bring a little more color into your personal presentation now, and match the outside with the inside to the delight of those around you. Well, most of them. DIVINE/USHER SCORPIO OCT 24-NOV 22: Change is coming sure as the wind, and you are going to be blown away. However, it is important to keep up an “in control”

aspect to your public face. Conversely, your private side could benefit from a relinquishment of sorts. Now is the time to keep hold of things yourself, and not delegate too far from the view of your watchful eye. What seems like a contradiction makes itself clear in the middle of the month. RUPAUL/SEAN COMBS SAGITTARIUS NOV 23-DEC 21: Now is the time to shine - no kidding, and if it doesn’t have a luster on it, then it might not be for you. As you move into a place where the bottom line is more exciting than less, your trappings need to be as well. You’ll see the whole picture better than in recent times, and there is distinction attached. You need not doubt. Just do and/or don’t, but follow your inner voice and others will follow you. AMANDA LEPORE/AARON CARTER CAPRICORN DEC 22-JAN 20: Darn tootin’, you betcha… huh? The times are ripe for simple answers; however there doesn’t seem to be an abundance of those for you to pick right now. Swallow the bitter pill now, grin and bear it, and soon your pieces will again fit together nicely. Until the combination has been re-set though, you might feel like a tantrum is in order. As long as it’s a small one, go ahead. WILSON CRUZ/RYAN SEACREST AQUARIUS JAN 21-FEB 18: Who said it was too late to start something new? Don’t listen to those who express a negative tone right now, just smile and wave, or better yet, just tune them out, and tune yourself to a level where you can rise and shine. The point of doing something new is part of your two year projection to understand the things that work, and in so doing, you will also need to find those that don’t. ARI GOLD/TAYLOR LAUTNER PISCES FEB 19-MAR 20: Everything returns, nothing stays the same. As for now, you don’t demand perfection, just progress. So, guess what it’s time to do with people that are not progressing? You got it… get rid of them once and for all. As soon as you do, you know they will be back again. Just learn to recognize who’s who, and what’s what, and you will be much better off. This is a good month to turn a hobby into a money maker. TOMMY TUNE/ROB KARDASHIAN
