Outdoor Stages Date: Thu 15 August - Sun 18 August Time: All Day Venue: Victoria Market, Ebrington, Gasyard Tickets: Free admission The outdoor programme will feature Comhaltas branches from throughout the world alongside leading acts in the traditional genre. It kicks off with Sontas at the opening ceremony, a ten piece group that draws on the influences of both their Irish and Scottish backgrounds and finishes with the Battlefield Band on the Ebrington stage as part of the closing celebrations. Perfect Friction are a seven piece band from Wicklow. Their music ranges from high-energy trad sets to pop and rock songs tastefully arranged with a trad theme. The Friel Sisters, Anna, Sheila and Clare, are young traditional musicians hailing from Glasgow/Donegal – they play a mixture of music interspersed with songs, many from their family repertoire. World renowned local bands including the Churchill Flute Band, the William King Memorial Band, the Burntollet Sons of Ulster and Pride of the Orange & Blue will perform on various outdoor stages over the weekend alongside educational master-classes, exhibitions and a play on marching bands, The Pride.

RTÉ Céilí House Date: Saturday 17 August Time: 9PM Venue: Victoria Market RTÉ Radio 1’s long-running traditional music programme broadcasts live from Derry.
