CONCEPTUAL PARROQUIA STA TERESITA RENOVACIÓN Y AMPLIACION

La parroquía de Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús participa de manera activa y constante en la educación a los niños y jóvenes de las colonias y entorno a esta y a su vez a la población Ensenada a través de la impartición de Catecismo y la organización de diversas actividades promoviendo los valores familiares y el respeto a la comunidad, como los retiros y las clases de música. Sin embargo, cuenta con instalaciones carentes de servicios basicos para el desarrollo de dichas actividades. Por lo tanto, se propone la rehabilitación de los espacios existentes y las construcción de otros nuevos. El proyecto comprende la construcción de un amplio salón multiusos, dos aulas adicionales de enseñanza, la adecuación de las circulaciones existentes, la construccion de escaleras y rampas de acceso para personas con capacidades diferentes, servicios sanitarios, cocina exterior y sacristía.


SOLAR DECATHLON EUROPE 2010

Since 2009, the team “Architecture, Environment and Constructive Cultures” of the Grenoble National School of Architecture in partnership with the National Institute Solar Energy and the Grands Ateliers de l’Isle d’ Abeau, undertook the adventure of participating at the Solar Decathlon Europe which took place on June 2010 in Madrid, Spain. The SD is an international academic competition that aims to encourage the use of solar energies integrated to dwelling and to promote renewable energies awareness The competition consist of designing, building and presenting a prototype of an autonomous solar house which is evaluated by ten tests: architecture, engineering, energy consumption, solar systems, market viability, among others. Our project, the Armadillo Box ®, is a prototype which was designed thorough in its least details. All of its components were created by a team of students from the Architecture and Constructive Cultures Studio since last. ARMADILLO BOX VARIATIONS The aim of the project variations is to demonstrate that the Armadillo Box速 is not only a building but a architectural concept adaptable to different climatic conditions, different contexts, uses and densities. The Armadillo Box速 box concept goes beyond the competition of the Solar Decathlon.

INES (National Institute of Solar Energy), partner of the ENSAGrenoble for the Armadillo Box project, wishes to install on its site at Bourget-du-Lac a prototype provided with solar cells to instrument the house over a long period. The opening of the prototype took place during the Solar Event in june 2010 at the INES Technolac facilities. The architectural programmes was very close to that of the Armadillo Box Madrid : a house for a couple, energetically autonomous due to the use of passive and active systems from which solar photovoltaics have an important role to play..

URBAN COLLECTIVE HOUSING

A passive collective housing project made of organic materials mainly timber. Quality dwelling with extremely low energy requirements. Site Buildings are laid out on a hill which gives a great view towards the Forez Mountains to the west and have an important opening on the south faรงade in order to profit from solar thermal energy. Buildings are oriented South-West and are organized on 3 blocks with transversal views. These blocks are articulated by means of passageways and vertical circulations. On the ground level, a community garden offers an agreeable environment for all the inhabitants.


Thermal Passive Strategies The objective is to minimize the heating and cooling needs according to the seasons. Summer: To protect: The blinds, the roller-blinds in facade as well as the insulation make it possible to avoid external overheating. On the roof, a ventilated in-between space ensures the protection from heat released by the solar panels. To ventilate: Transverse space typology enables natural ventilation. The interior earth panels can thus be refreshed at night, which will then restore freshness in the course of the day. Winter: To collect: A large curtain-wall window in the South allows to capture direct sunshine in daytime. To preserve: The highly efficient insulation provides for the prevention of heat losses, thus limiting the heating needs. To store/diffuse: The interior earth panels store the calories in the course of the day and restore them at night. Facing textile ground outside/blinds: The earth on the exterior facade stores coolness or heat according to the seasons in order to diminish the insulation’s solicitation. The roller-blinds allow, according to their positions, to control direct sunshine so as to minimize or support the thermal discharge of the earth walls. Active strategies To collect solar energy with photovoltaic and thermal solar panels in order to produce electricity and sanitary warm water. To protect from overheating by creating an inbetween space over the thermal wrap and under the protective shield freshened by a misting system. To ventilate the house thanks to a double-flow system which also controls the air temperature by heating or freshening the entering air. This project also demonstrates how technology, planning and design can be applied sensitively to generate a comfortable, luxurious, yet sustainable family home.

PASEO BRAVO REVERSION 07 Paseo Bravo is a park and a promenade located in the downtown of Puebla, Mexican city founded during the Spanish colony. Back then it functioned like a meeting place for the members of the upper classes. Nowadays the park is surrounded by heavy traffic streets . One of them passes across the atrium of the Church of Santa Guadalupe, traditional space, used for religious ceremonies. The Paseo Bravo project is conceived during the XIII International Conference on Conservation of Historical Centres and Latin-American Built Heritage and was awarded first place.


YOUTH ART CENTER

The Youth Performing Arts Centre constitutes a space for artistic expression and cultural activities for the young people of Puebla, Mexico. For this, we used an under-utilized historical building: The old convent of San Ignacio. The project aim is to recycle the existing building and enabling the spaces for its new functions. In the hexagon we now found the library, the multimedia room, and exposition corridors. In the central court, the structure responds to each event just like a reacting skin according to the circumstances by allowing to control the position of each platform and the creation of various surfaces. The temple becomes the theatre. The self standing structure was calculated to obtain optimal acoustic and isoptic experience without actually touching any of the walls of the temple catalogued like historical building. Many other workshops by specific sector were also proposed.


PROJET [SPA]

The spa includes activities that correlate wellbeing and health with water as a purifying element like element, life source and regeneration. This images are de result of an exercise in a workshop for digital simulation of spaces. It consists of a swimming pool, a room for meditation, a room for massage with jacuzzi, showers and lounge room.


PAVILLION DE L’EAU

This pavilion is intended to raise awareness on Water, considered as a fundamental resource for the mankind, but also as an element of amusement and well-being. This pavilion can be set up for demonstrations such as a international expositions, a world summit on water or more local events on a regional scale. The morphogenesis of the water pavilion has its origin the water movements mechanics. Liquid forms are often a subject in the architectural field thanks to its formal qualities and dynamism. The frames structure was referenced from nano structure always present in nature: the butterfly wings.


CENTRE D’ÉTUDES DE GENRE

San Andres Cholula, the older settlement constantly inhabited of all America, is a village which economy was founded on agriculture. Due to the economic instability of the country, the problem of immigration was accentuated. More and more, this village loses its men who emigrate to the north of Mexico to cross to the United States and find a better way of living for them and their families. San Andres

is becoming a village inhabited

mostly by women and children. Thus the women constitute the new labour force and they need to learn new occupations to support their families. The Gender Studies Centre is born in response to the concern of studying the differences between men and women in research of education opportunities and the equality of rights.
