Position of work: Office Administrator Odd Arts is looking for a dynamic, community focussed and enthusiastic individual to become an Office Administrator. We strive to have a team that reflects and understands the diverse communities we work with. Job Title: Administrator (6 month post, 16 hours per week flexi-time) Responsible to: Office Manager Responsible for: Office administration: Support CEO, support Office Manager, support Bookings Coordinator and other administrative tasks. Main duties: ●

To conduct administration tasks including: Collating staff timesheets; writing freelance contracts; making travel arrangements & room bookings; ordering office supplies; maintaining filing systems; monitoring and recording data (including environmental footprint)

Undergo relevant training

Type up documents and collate evaluation data

Support Odd Arts social media and brand through active participation in it

Work to ensure Odd Arts working practice is of the highest possible quality

Support CEO and Office Manager with work-load; and Bookings Co-ordinator at busy periods

Taking minutes

Keeping handbook entries, updates and policies up to date

Any other appropriate administration activity


Conditions of service: ●

The salary for this post will be £20,600 pro rata (FTE) (Scale 1: Pay-scale and Staffing Structure available on request)

Part time: 16 hours per week flexi-time WFH or based in office

The contract is for 6 months with the view to extend dependent on funding

There is an initial probationary period of one month, during which time the company may terminate your employment with two weeks notice.

Holiday entitlement: You will be entitled to the equivalent of 25 working days pro rata (FTE). This excludes bank holidays. To be taken by agreement with the CEO. Some forced days leave over the Christmas period when the charity is closed.

Odd Arts requires all its employees to be flexible; it should be anticipated that you might be asked to fulfil some tasks that fall outside of the scope of your job description.

The job will start in January 2022

Wages will be paid BACS on the 15th of each month (or the following day if this falls on a weekend).

Belief in Odd Arts vision and values

A positive ‘can do’ attitude

Empathetic and non-judgemental

Computer literate

Basic Maths and English

Administration experience

Strengths based approach


Ability to prioritise and manage tasks

Good communication skills

Ability to learn quickly and apply that learning

Excellent time-keeping and professionalism

Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Desirable requirements for the post: ●

Interest or passion in the arts and theatre

Interest or passion in criminal and social justice

A knowledge and passion for Manchester communities
