PLEASE NOTE THAT CAMOUFLAGE MATERIAL IS ILLEGAL IN MOST CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE FOR EXPEDITION IN CAMOUFLAGE OR DISRUPTIVE PATTERNED MATERIAL. 2. FOR THE COCKTAIL RECEPTION EITHER NATIONAL DRESS OR SEMI-FORMAL ATTIRE IS REQUIRED. 3. HIKING SHOES MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION. 4. POCKET KNIVES SHOULD BE OF HEAVY DUTY TYPE. ALL KNIVES SHOULD BE IN A LEATHER SHEATH IN CHECKED LUGGAGE, NOT HAND LUGGAGE. 1. THE 25 FEET OF ¼” OR ½” NYLON ROPE TO BE USED FOR CLOTHES LINES, AND FOR SHELTER CONSTRUCTION 2. THE COMPASS SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE DEGREE READINGS. 3. ONE DAY BAG. TO BE WORN ON BACK ALLOWING FREE USE OF BOTH HANDS. NOTES ON THE EXPEDITION/EXPLORATION 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

ALL CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT ARE TO BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED. THIS INCLUDES EATING UTENSILS, AND TOWELS. THIS AVOIDS PROBLEMS IN IDENTIFYING EQUIPMENT WHEN MANY PEOPLE ARE SHARING CONFINED SPACE. OBJECT OF THE EXPIDITION - TO BE SAFE AND ENJOYABLE, CONSTRUCTIVE AND EDUCATIONAL. THE AUTHORITY OF THE EXPEDITION LEADER IS FINAL. ALL PERSONS FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE EXPEDITION LEADER MUST WITHDRAW FROM THE EXPEDITION AND FROM THE COUNTRY AT HIS/HER OWN EXPENSE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. EACH MEMBER OF THE EXPEDITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR TRAVEL INSURING TO COVER MEDICAL AND PERSONAL EQUIPMENT I.E. CAMERAS, CLOTHING. THE EXPEDITION ONLY PROVIDES INSURANCE FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY. EACH EXPEDITIONIST IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT HE/SHE IS PHYSICALLY FIT TO UNDERTAKE THE EXPEDITION. EACH EXPEDITIONIST IS REQUIRED TO BACKPACK 23-30% OF BODY WEIGHT IN CLOTHES AND EQUIPMENT AND SHOULD ALLOW AN ADDITIONAL 10-15% FOR FOOD.
