Currently Cruisers Yachts, Unlimited Services, GMSP, and LeTourneau Plastics are based in Oconto. Many stores, restaurants, and services support, and are supported by the community.
Oconto’s Archaic Copper Museum
It has grown through the years to add the Annex in 1957 and the Carriage House in 2015. It houses artifacts and archives from the entire county but works with societies that have since formed in communities throughout the county. This cooperation works to preserve historical items for future generations.
BEYER HOME & CARRIAGE MUSEUM
Copper Culture State Park
The Oconto County Historical Society was organized in 1940 when the Beyer Home was deeded to the county as a museum.
The museum is in the area’s oldest Belgian farmstead, and is dedicated to the earliest known copper tool makers in the Americas.
