Just Built Better! For more than 16 years, Palmer has led the industry in the evolution of snowboard design. Although more expensive than others – we build the most durable and warranty-free boards on the market … guaranteed quality built in Europe! Check out our Tech-Icons on each board to learn what’s inside!

Think Smart and progress: the pros and cons of the latest in snowboard technology. Camber or Rocker? Camber now comes in all shapes and sizes, from full rocker to regular camber and different variations in between. Each design has unique performance advantages targeted to a specific riding style. There are various rocker designs but in general the larger the distance off the snow, the more soft snow focused a board becomes. Or, in other words, the more Rocker the less performance!

Vans founded, Anaheim, CA World’s First Skatepark in Anaheim, CA.

So which shape is right for you? Camber or Rocker? How much Rocker? How much Camber? Confused?

Rocker Advantages: In a rockered board design, the negative camber lifts tip and tail off the snow to make it easier to rotate the ski/board from left to right without the tip and tail catching on the surface of the snow. This Catch-Free character makes the board less aggressive, more forgiving, easier and effortless to control. The Rocker also enables the board to float effortlessly on top of softer snow due to the negative camber naturally wanting to float. While going straight (sitting flat), the widest part of tip and tail are out of the snow for a more stable straight riding. And while jibbing allows for a loose, forgiving, catch-free feel.

Shaun Palmer is born Tony Hawk is born

Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf, Fortunate Son by CCR, A Little Less Conversation a Little More Action by Elvis Presley Jake Burton gets his first Snurfer Zephr Shop and Z-Boys, Santa Monica, CA.

Camber Advantages: The regular tip-to-tail Camber gives the board full edge contact for dynamic turn initiation, speed during the turn and powerful out-of-turn acceleration (rebounds) for maximal forward energy. Accuracy, stability and ice biting edge hold especially on hard snow conditions and crud. Provides that stable, secure, in control feel. And Camber takes away the fear of “Rocker Washouts”. Feel the added pop in ollies and nollies, load it up and feel it kick back, slash with power in pow, stomp landings on the tail.

Smart FLF Rocker Another first from Palmer is the Smart FLF Rocker design that makes you Feel Like Flying. A patent pending design innovation with moving edge pressure defining contact points to combine the proven performance of Regular Camber and the Catch-Free ease of Rocker. Experience more control and easier turn initiation and the confidence and stability to rip any terrain. Remarkably effortless! Forgiving and easy-to-control with playful, lively yet dynamic turning performance. Catch-free ease with great pop, kick back and landing lock. Builds your confidence and helps you to become a better rider. Why Smart Rocker? Smart because the Palmer FLF Rocker technology combines the advantages of the proven performance of Regular Camber and the Catch-Free ease of Rocker. Catch-Free ease without the fear of “Rocker Washouts”! Smart engineering: What’s smart and unique with the FLF Rocker is its Rocker in tip and tail in combination with a regular tip-to-tail Camber allowing the edge pressure defining contact points to move along the edges during a turn: From Camber to Rocker to Camber! Smart experience: Enjoy the confidence, effortless and worry-free riding of Smart FLF Rocker that Feels Like Flying. Ease and versatility, catch-free, dynamic turns, increased flotation with no compromise on performance and speed in any condition or any ability level. Experience confident riding that Feels Like Flying.

SMART FLF ROCKER WITH MOVING CONTACT POINTS

Check out the FLF Rocker principle in action. See why the FLF Rocker Technology puts you in control of a ride that never felt easier.

Full Camber performance at the beginning of a turn due to active tip and tail contact with the snow allowing full edge contact for direct, dynamic turn initiations.

Full Catch-Free ease after turn initiation because of the moving contact points moving in while tip and tail go up releasing tip and tail pressure to prevent tip and tail to get pushed into the snow. Experience effortless, catch free and easy to control turning with higher turn navigation precision, maximum edge grip and stability at any moment of the turn with higher turn speeds due to the reduced turn breaking forces. And while jibbing presses well and allows for a loose, forgiving, catch-free feel.

Full Camber performance at the end of the turn because the contact points move back out while tip and tail go down to actively contact the snow. Again full tip-to-tail edge contact for powerful out of turn acceleration and maximum forward energy and speed.Feel the added pop in ollies and nollies, load it up and feel it kick back, slash with power in pow, stomp landings on the tail. Increased versatility in crud and hardpack and floats effortlessly on top of softer snow due to the negative camber naturally wanting to float. While going straight (sitting flat), the widest part of tip and tail are out of the snow for a more stable straight riding.

Honeycomb – Simply Does it All!

Easy Rider starring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson and Terry Southern

Palmer's Honeycomb “simply does it all with a design that floats easily, rides fast, and turns like it can read your mind. The Honeycomb felt stable at speeds that cause other boards to get shaky. ‘Carving feels effortless and faster,’ said one tester. There's also an increase in stability through the turn. And coming out of the turn, this monster accelerates even more.” Outside Magazine

Pioneering the use of honeycomb in almost all of its boards, Palmer puts the lightweight material in the nose and tail for enhanced performance. Results: Turn initiation and exit are smoother and more predictable with the main portion of a turn being tight and responsive. In fact, turning and edging were the Burn’s highpoints with testers. “Solid” and “edges well” were all over the comment cards. “For board construction and high-end details, Palmer is at the front of the pack”. Pulse “Steady as a heartbeat, it was a solid board that held its line and was really fun to ride. The Pulse shined during higher speed freeriding, situations where its extra stiffness aided in stability. Also notable was its edge control in the pipe, perfect for blasting lofty airs and easing into smooth landings.” SierraSnowboard.com

Liberty – Liberating “GIVE ME LIBERTY, or give me death!” one tester exclaimed after banking 6000 vert on Palmer's women-specific all-mountain freestyle offering. Enhanced by a Nomex Honeycomb core (made of impregnated aramid fiber, 10 times lighter than wood) at the tip and tail, the Liberty is quick on the draw. “You'd think it'd be a bad idea to take a playful, butter-licious board into some steep, hairy chute, but it was really Liberating,” another tester said. Backcountry Magazine

Jade “The Palmer Jade is the epitome of park confidence, and it was great fun to ride. I found it playful and flexible, and it just wanted to bounce around the mountain. I think it’s a board for girls who are just discovering the park as it was easy to turn into switch and I was confidently in control when lining up to jumps.” Snowboard-Review.com

Power Link System (PLS)

Energize your ride.

Simply put, the PLS is power steering for snowboards. The perfect upgrade for any board.

The PLS come in 2 models for different riding styles and is not gender specific:

The PLS is all about leverage. The PLS enables you to transfer more body power to your edges for better grip, improved control, and quicker board response.

PLS Shock

The PLS also eliminates the dead spot that a binding creates on the board, allowing the board to flex the way it should. The PLS makes heel-side turns feel like toe-side turns and toe-side turns feel better with less effort. Less effort means riders stay on the mountain longer.

Our highest end plate, the PLS Shock is the mackdaddy of the plates. With 13mm of lift, this dual durometer plate has harder plastic on the outside pushing power to the edge and softer plastic on the inside that cushions the foot and dampens vibration. Silver only.

PLS Flex The PLS Flex is the best-selling plate in the line. With 10mm of lift, this softer freestyle model goes with any board on your wall.

7200 HIGH SPEED BASES The inlaid 7200 graphite bases have computer-controlled stone ground or structured finishes and are super fast.

CAP-SIDEWALL Cap-sidewall sandwich construction is the most expensive to produce but combines the advantages of both sidewall and cap construction to distribute maximum power to the edges. ID-2000 sidewalls overlap the steel edges completely and guarantee maximum durability, precise edge grip and vibration dampening.

CARBON First Smart FLF Rocker with moving contact points by Palmer Fastest and most expensive car: Bugatti Veyron, 1001 hp for 1.7M 21st Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Carbon fiber strips give a board additional liveliness, and more pop, strength and edge grip. We place carbon fiber in special configurations to modify the board’s longitudinal flex, torsional stiffness, and to improve power distribution from the bindings to the edges of the board.

FLF SHAPE FLF (Feels Like Flying) is the optimized interaction between the sidecut and the nose and tail surfaces. Klothoid represents the numerous radii (circles) that define the sidecut, and FLF extends these radii into the nose and tail kick. In practical terms this means more control and effortless handling, thanks to an optimized edge grip. FLF pushes edge-hold, stability and acceleration to a new standard of handling and safety.

HONEYCOMB

Special thanks to Lee Crane, Sean Corcoran, Thrasher Magazine, Transworld Snowboarding, Wikipedia and Google for making it all possible.

Nomex™ Honeycomb core made of impregnated aramid fiber is ten times lighter than wood and has an excellent strengthto-weight ratio. Because Nomex™ is not affected by moisture, corrosion does not occur like it does with cores made of aluminum or paper. Our Honeycomb is filled with 99% air.

HRC-48 EDGES Steel edges for a powerful and long lasting edge grip.

KLOTHOID SIDECUT Klothoid technology allows Palmer engineers to control the centrifugal forces riders experience as they turn. This unique multi-radii shape technology allows us to blend together as many different sidecut radii as needed to achieve an even easier, more forgiving and effortless board that delivers the highest riding performance ever.

PREPREG/NCF (NON-CRIMP-FABRIC) PREPREG Prepreg adds the perfect amount of glue exactly where it is needed and not a drop more. It ensures durability, long life, and consistency in flex and ride. Where other manufacturers use wet lamination to save money, Palmer maintains its commitment to quality by using prepreg in all boards. Prepreg allows us to deliver a finer product, helps maintain a safer workplace for our employees and minimizes our impact on the environment.

WOODCORES Vertically laminated beech/poplar or Okume woodcores for high strength, low weight, and optimal flexural properties. Tailored to each board’s exact specs. Every model has its own special woodcore – different in wood type, shape, and composition.

POWER LINK SYSTEM (PLS) PLS increases leverage over the edges and makes riding easier – a recommended upgrade for any board.

SIDEWALL Full sidewall that’s easy to fix.

TITANIUM Titanium offers the unique racing features of high power, dynamic rebound, incredible stability, and excellent dampening.

TRI-RADIAL SIDECUT Three radii are blended together for smooth turn initiation, stable ride on edge, and quick, powerful exit snap into the next turn.

TWINTIP A snowboard or ski shape where the nose and tail are identically shaped and designed to be ridden forward and backwards. Most commonly used in freestyle riding.

UHMW PLASTIC BUMPERS Lightweight tip and tail protectors for high impact ding resistance and lowest swing weight.

Camber or Rocker? Camber now comes in all shapes and sizes, from full rocker to regular camber and different variations in between. Each design has unique performance advantages targeted to a specific riding style. There are various rocker designs but in general the larger the distance off the snow, the more soft snow focused a ski becomes. Or in other words the more Rocker the less performance on harder snow conditions. So which shape is right for you? Camber or Rocker? How much Rocker? How much Camber? Confused?

Rocker Advantages: In a rockered ski design, the negative camber lifts tip and tail off the snow to make it easier to rotate the ski from left to right without the tip and tail catching on the surface of the snow. This Catch-Free character makes the ski less aggressive, more forgiving, easier and effortless to control. The Rocker also enables the ski to float effortlessly on top of softer snow due to the negative camber naturally wanting to float. While going straight (sitting flat), the widest part of tip and tail are out of the snow for a more stable straight riding. And while jibbing allows for a loose, forgiving, catch-free feel.

Camber Advantages: The regular tip-to-tail Camber gives the ski full edge contact for dynamic turn initiation, speed during the turn and powerful out-of-turn acceleration (rebounds) for maximal forward energy.

A patent pending design innovation with moving edge pressure defining contact points to combine the proven performance features of Regular Camber and the Catch-Free ease of Rocker. Experience dynamic turn initiation, easy, effortless control, and powerful out-of-turn acceleration and speed. Remarkably effortless! Forgiving and easy-to-control with lively, dynamic turning performance. Energy saving and knee friendly for a safer, less tiring and a more fun skiing experience. Builds your confidence and helps you to become a better skier. Why Smart Rocker? Smart because the Palmer FLF Rocker technology combines the advantages of the proven performance of Regular Camber and the Catch-Free ease of Rocker. Smart engineering: What’s smart and unique with the FLF Rocker is its Rocker in tip and tail in combination with a regular tip-to-tail Camber allowing the edge pressure defining contact points to move along the edges during a turn: From Camber to Rocker to Camber! Smart experience: Enjoy the confidence, effortless and worry-free riding of the Smart FLF Rocker that Feels Like Flying. Ease and versatility, catch-free, dynamic turns with no compromise on performance and speed in any condition or any ability level.

SMART FLF ROCKER WITH MOVING CONTACT POINTS

The skier not only expends less energy controlling and navigating a turn, but at the same time experiences less fatigue in his body and less pressure points in his knees. And while taking it easy, the Smart FLF Rocker reduces the risk of catching an edge and let’s you carve at lower speeds. Experience confident riding that Feels Like Flying.

Full Camber performance at the end of the turn because the contact points move back out while tip and tail go down to actively contact the snow. Again full tip-to-tail edge contact for powerful out of turn acceleration and maximum forward energy and speed.

“Palmer's unique design has produced a ski that feels different from any other we have tested and one which seems like it could etch perfect carves into a pane of hardened glass. And, the amazing part, at the same time, the PO2 can be skied at low speeds with progressively soft edges. All this adds up to a superb on-piste ski capable of almost anything at any speed.” RealSkiers.com

“Definitely a ski for carving aficionados looking to improve their game with a high performance tool. TYROLIA FREEFLEX PRO 15

Diagonal Toe

The Freeflex Pro system allows the heel to glide freely so that the ski can bend through unhindered and retains its natural dynamics. Additionally, all freeflex bindings come with the special Pro Heel with reduced stand height.

Due to its higher release force vertically to horizontally, it holds up to the high backward lean forces.

Pro Heel

+ Aero Toe with TRP System

An increased contact area reduces friction and provides constant forward pressure in all skiing situations.

+ Height 19 mm + DIN 5 - 15 + Race Diagonal + ABS - Anti Blocking System + Freeflex Pro

Heel Track

+ Pro Heel

The heel track made of micro alloyed steel is now directly mounted on the ski. Moreover, we increased the height of about 1mm and the width of approximately 8mm. The benefits are more stability and better force transmission.

+ Dura-Coating

REVIEWS “I skied the P01 both in the powder (where they pleasantly surprised me) and on the groomed (where they seemed to be truly at home). This is a high performing, damp, all mountain ski with great edge grip which can be turned quickly. I think these skis are serious contenders for a great all around ski.” ExoticSkis.com “The P03 ski is more precise and carve-capable, and is probably easier to ski all day than many other twintips. The famous Palmer sidecut design seems to allow this ski to make great turns at various speeds, extending its range of capabilities outside the park andpipe to all kinds of terrain on the mountain. Very fun and sporty.” ExoticSkis.com “The P04 would be a great ski without the trick geometry, but the mini-rocker makes it easier and more forgiving than any ski that’s capable of similar performance.” Powder
