In this area, he has specialized in the study of foreign immigration in the Canaries, which has spurred the bulk of his research work, studies and analyses, and which has also resulted in his various engagements in congresses, seminars and multiple training activities, which he promotes from his position as technical coordinator of the Tenerife Immigration Observatory (OBITen).

Current professional status: Manager, Data Bank Unit and Document Center (Council of Tenerife, 2004). Joined the Tenerife Island Council as a geographer in 1988. Career civil servant since 1996.
