From record participation in tournaments and club events to the incredible energy you’ve brought into every corner of the Club, 2025 has been a year defined by connection, community, and momentum. Your enthusiasm has elevated our programming in every way, and it inspires us to keep making each event better than the last.

As we approach the holiday season, we hope you’ll join us for the final celebrations of the year. Our calendar is full of festive gatherings, family traditions, and special moments designed to bring everyone together Whether you’ve joined us for dozens of events this year or are looking to end the season on a high note, we invite you to come out, take part, and enjoy everything still to come.

On behalf of the entire Oakwood team, thank you for your support, participation, and the spirit you bring to this community. We look forward to celebrating the holidays with you and closing out the year with great company and memorable experiences.

DECEMBER 2025 OAKWOOD GOLF EVENTS

Dear Oakwood Members,

I trust that you are all enjoying the holiday season and cherishing moments with friends and family. As we approach 2026, I'd like to take a moment to share some exciting events for the upcoming winter months. While we know the Midwest winters can bring about their share of chilly days, we're fortunate to have the Performance Center available to shake off the cobwebs and keep our skills honed.

For those interested in some competition this winter, feel free to reach out to me about our Simulator Match Play events starting this January at the Performance Center. The events will include Four Ball, Net Match Play and Gross Match Play. We recognize that the holiday season can be hectic, so these events are scheduled after the holidays in January, providing a fantastic opportunity to stay active during the colder months.

Looking ahead to spring, I encourage you to visit the golf shop for corporate purchasing options This is an excellent chance to offer your company, clients, or friends customized logos for 2026. When you shop with us, you’ll have access to a variety of high-quality brands. Beyond apparel, we can also provide logoed golf balls to share with your clients or anyone you choose.

If any of these options spark your interest, I would be more than happy to meet and discuss your preferences. Wishing everyone a joyful and healthy holiday season! Here’s a fantastic year ahead in 2026!

Happy Holidays,

From the Director of Instruction

Make This Winter Your Most Productive Yet

Let the Oakwood Performance Center become your winter golf escape. Whether you want to step out of the cold and into a simulator round or if you’re ready to put in the work to make 2026 your best season yet, the Performance Center is the place to be.

Winter can be where real progress happens when we evaluate, rebuild, and prepare with purpose so you head into spring stronger, more confident, and more technically sound than ever.

Our team is ready to support you through every part of that process:

With Jeff, you’ll work on overall athletic performance movement efficiency, speed and power training, and improving how your body moves both for golf and everyday life. His training helps you increase clubhead speed safely and effectively.

With Aaron, you’ll focus on physical readiness, mobility, and recovery addressing limitations, improving range of motion, and building a body that supports better performance next season.

With Maureen, you’ll take an in-depth look at your technique, full swing or short game, practice structure, and on-course strategy. You’ll build habits, confidence, and a clear plan to elevate your scoring and consistency.

We’re offering a mix of individual sessions and customized off-season training programs designed around your goals, schedule, and needs, with flexible pricing and package options available.

Oakwood Agronomy Synopsis – Progress Report From the Course

Oakwood Members,

The Agronomy team has completed winter preparations and will continue several key maintenance projects throughout the season to ensure the course enters spring in its best possible condition. Over the coming months, you’ll see us focusing on topdressing select fairways, greens, and worn tees, which is an essential step in promoting smooth surfaces and healthy turf going into next year. We will also continue our ongoing tree management program to improve airflow, sunlight penetration, and overall course aesthetics.

In December, we’ll begin several drainage improvement initiatives designed to enhance long-term turf health and improve playability in hightraffic or historically soft areas. Alongside this, the team will repair settled trench lines, apply targeted weed control using varied modes of action to prevent herbicide resistance, and fully refinish all wood products so they’re restored and ready for the spring season.

Throughout the winter, we’ll also manage snow, ice, and storm response as needed to ensure safe access across the property for members and staff. While winter is a quieter time on the course, it’s one of the most important periods for behind-the-scenes work that sets the foundation for a strong season ahead.

We appreciate your support throughout a successful golf season and look forward to welcoming everyone back to a fresh, healthy, and beautifully prepared course this spring.

Happy Holidays,
