Carers Rights and Relaxation Event On Carers Rights Day - Friday 30 th November, Rutland Local Involvement Network (LINk) is taking the opportunity to put on a FREE event for informal carers in Rutland at The Falcon, Market Place, Uppingham, Rutland, LE15 9PY between 10am and 1pm. At the event, carers will have the opportunity to spend some relaxed informal time taking a break over coffee and cake, talk with professionals working to support carers in Rutland and enjoy a taster massage pampering session. Margaret Demaine, Rutland LINk Steering Group member said: "We know that there are a lot of carers in Rutland, not the ones that are employed, but those who care for a relative, a neighbour or a friend - "Unofficial Carers". The LINk would like to be able to put you in touch with the support you might appreciate. We would really like you to come to our Carers Event, to meet other carers, carers support workers and other LINk members. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, and enjoy a short time of relaxation and maybe sample our "Pampering Taster Session". You can bring the person you care for with you, if you can or would like to. If you have a difficulty with this, please contact us and we may be able to pay for care for them, whilst you are out. We do hope that you will come and join us on 30th November." People can drop-in throughout the morning.
