RENDERINGS CONSTRUCTION DOCS
CONCEPTUAL NAMASTE- This concept was created for the Hotel-Condo project. We were tasked to design a elegant environment where a guest would feel comfortable. We also had to meet the concept of modern, efficient, open and cheerful. I interpreted the concept and made a relaxing “home away from home environment for the guests to thoroughly enjoy. I believe it was successfully portrayed through the pale blue which is known to have a calming effect, and the light grey to give it a spa-like, airy feel.
ESCAPE- This concept was designed for the Wildrose Community Center and we were given an image to interpret; from the image I came up with the word escape. I wanted to create an inclusive, stress-free environment where guests could escape from their worries even if just for a moment. I believe I portrayed this concept through the earthy browns, a calming blue and a warm, energizing orange.
CONCEPTUAL This concept was created for the Xactly Advertising Firm as they requested a modern, hip and trendy aesthetic that is suitable for a young and energetic staff. I believe I successfully portrayed this concept through the modern color palette of navy, yellow and gray. The brightness and energy of the yellow mixed with the cool and calm navy blue would be helpful in conveying the cutting edge spirit of their team.
This concept was created for the Curry Vibes restaurant in which we had to create authentic, vibrant and fresh and suitable for a new urban generation and the growing older population. I was inspired by the yellow, orange and red of spices used in traditional Indian cuisine leading me to choose a modern burgundy and gold color palette and by adding a neutral light gray muting the intensity of the bright colors to be considerate of sensory issues.
XACTLY ADVERTISING FIRM
RENDERINGS This perspective view of the reception desk continues to portray the concept of modern, hip and trendy that the client required. Through the use of Revit and Photoshop this rendering was successfully created to show the modern concept through the navy, yellow and gray color palette mixed with the geometric shapes and pendant lighting.
The modern concept was continued into the open office area of the Xactly Advertising Firm once again through the modern color palette. With the use of Revit and Photoshop, I wanted to create an interesting, yet calm work environment surrounded by windows to promote productivity in the employees. I also decided to include the cluster spaces into the individual workstation area to promote collaboration within the staff.
STOLLERY CHILDREN’S AMBULATORY CLINIC
RENDERINGS This concept was created as part of a group project for the Stollery Children’s Ambulatory Clinic in which we decided to portray a serene mood through a color palette of cream, blue and green to help both parents and children be more comfortable during their stay. The cream and blue help to evoke the feeling of ease for parents of a sick child with the shade of green to add a pop of color to add interest to the space. With the use of SketchUp and Photoshop I was able to create the check in station for the client including sufficient wayfinding for the guests to help guests successfully navigate through the clinic.
This floor plan was created to show the overall layout of the Stollery Children’s Ambulatory Clinic through the use of AutoCAD and Photoshop. We decided to use a dandelion as our symbol and we have used it as a floor decal to help navigate guests through the clinic. By adding materials and finishes to the furniture pieces and flooring it allows designers to portray their work in a way that is easily communicated between clients because they can see the design intent instead of having to try to visualize it.
WHOLE LIFE MEDICAL CENTRE
RENDERINGS For this project, we were tasked to create an interior for the Whole Life Medical Centre. Through the use of Revit I was able to successfully portray my interpretation by adding furniture and accessories appropriate for a medical centre environment. As well as I had to add finishes and materials to the walls, floors and furniture of the space to create a realistic rendering.
Once again using Revit, I created the exterior view of the medical centre. Our goal was to render as realistic as possible and by adding materials and finishes to the building and the site of the building. As well as designing the landscape surrounding the building by adding trees to make the rendering come to life.
