PRINCIPAL TENANCY ADJUDICATOR Immigration Advisor Expressions of interests are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of Principal Tenancy Adjudicator under the Residential Tenancies Act 1986. The primary function of the Tribunal is to deal with disputes between tenants and landlords over a wide range of matters affecting residential property. The appointee will be responsible for ensuring the orderly and expeditious discharge of the business of the Tenancy Tribunal throughout New Zealand. The Principal Tenancy Adjudicator is appointed by the Governor-General on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Housing and Urban Development. Appointment is for up to five years but may be renewed. Section 67 of the Act requires the Principal Adjudicator to have held a practising certificate as a barrister or solicitor of the High Court for at least five years, or an equivalent qualification.
