legislation and similar legislation has proved ineffective or has failed to be implemented for many reasons. Often, many of the duties for enforcement of environmental legislation are lost in translation, as different levels of government are unsure of their roles in environmental protection and standard enforcement. This leads to confusing overlaps in policies, countless loopholes for producers, and a sheer lack of implementation for these laws that have the best of intentions. Also, a lack of proper budget management and financial stability has plagued Argentina and prevented adequate funding from reaching environmental protection efforts, as it is often diverted to causes that are deemed more worthy or simply is not there to be given. Lack of public involvement and knowledge of the state of the Argentine environment also corrodes government accountability for regulation and implementation of its environmental policies. While Argentina seems to have stepped up and begun creating the

legislation

the

country

needs

to

create

a

healthy

environment and heal past environmental damage, legislation alone

cannot

solve

the

nations

problems;

it

must

be
