Light, shadows, patterns. Some of the fundamentals of taking good pictures. But more importantly do we get pictures to talk? Bob Rodgers was absolutely great in his mastery of techniques, but more importantly, his teaching style of providing dramatic examples in pictures of how to create better images that help to tell a story. One of the most striking images he showed us was of a man who was an industrialist who was a decadent of the Krupp family. A family with a solid history of evil. the Krupp’s were arms manufacturers since the middle ages, and the man in the picture was the head of the firm during world war two, and used slave labor, people from concentration camps to work in his factories. The use of light and the timing provided us with a picture of a true monster in human form, the very worst kind.
