MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

It’s Conference Season! As I sit down to write my final message as president of NYSACAC, I find the usual excitement I feel leading into the first week of June each year. The chance to reflect on the past twelve months, catch up with old friends and meet new colleagues on the campus of one of our member colleges is always one of the most exciting times of the year for me. I know that there has been significant planning going into this year’s conferences at Adelphi University – and I can’t wait to experience it! From the President 1,3 The spring is always a busy time for NYSACAC. 4 We had a tremendous Professional Development Forum President-Elect series this year, where members representing many The counselor’s E xternal.. 5,6 different roles of our profession were able to gather and 8-9 have deep dialogue about concerns within our industry. We will look to expand these fairs in the upcoming year. All of this hard work has led to a record number of members for A Passport to your Future 18-19 NYSACAC – over 1900 and counting!
