17 Govs Own Private Jets –Ncaa

No fewer than 17 governors are proud owners of private jets top sources at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have disclosed to National Weekender. This fact emerged following the investigation which the body is going through after it was indicted in the N255m bulletproof cars bought for embattled Aviation Minister Princess Stella Oduah. Recall that after the crash of Associated Airline conveying the remains of Late former governor of Ondo State Dr. Olusegun Agagu which led to the death of 17 people on board including Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Deji Falae who is son to former Finance Minister Chief Olu Falae, the NCAA and Aviation Minister have been under scrutiny. The three-man administrative panel set up by President Goodluck Jonathan to investigate Oduah has submitted its report to the President. But during the House Committee’s investigation top sources in the NCAA hinted that the noise about the bulletproof cars is uncalled for because 8 northern governors and 9 of their southern counterparts own private jets kept in different locations around the country. Just two weeks ago the former governor of Borno State Alli Modu Sheriff who left office barely three years ago acquired the most expensive private jet ever bought by a Nigerian. According to

reports the private jet cost N11.5b. and Sheriff said he wants to use it for commercial business. He is said to be into commercial airline operation and has already bought three private jets earlier.
