norThwesT MInIsTrY conference

I’M jUsT saYIn’... Silos are good for farmers, not so good for church ministries. I recently had a meeting with an Executive Pastor of a large church. I’m not sure when “large” becomes “mega”, but it was a big one. He said to me with some sadness,“I can go all Sunday at church and never have a kid run into me and . . . I don’t think that’s a good thing.” One of the hot topics in today’s church is Family Ministry. Everyone is trying to figure out just what “it” is and how to do “it”. Here is my charge to you: Just as families get together for holidays and reunions to compare height and familial likenesses, get together as a church family to share life stories, too.

Gary Dixon NWMC Chairman

Re-connect at least two or three times a year. Have some fun and celebrate together. See and hear what God is doing in your forever family. I remember a line in a movie I saw years ago where one young man asked another,“Why do old people like to water so much?” The other responded,“I think it’s because they like to see things grow.” Spend some time together with your church family. You might be surprised how much you like them!

Gary & Dave and the NWMC Committee EXHIBITS & FOOD This year you’ll find one of the largest ministry exhibit areas in the country. Sign up for drawings, get valuable advice and see the latest in ministry helps. Don’t forget to take home a ton of stuff. Your people will love you for it! Wonderful food will be on site.

Dave Furnstahl NWMC Chairman

May 20, 2012 CUFI Sunday

Each May, CUFI organizes Christians United for Israel Sunday, a single day for thousands of churches around the world to unite in prayer and action in support of Israel. Participating congregations designate a portion of their service to praying for and honoring Israel. CUFI offers a program and materials to help your church plan and implement a successful Christians United for Israel Sunday.

July 16-18, 2012 CUFI Washington Summit

Join the thousands of us in WASHINGTON DC, JULY 18-20, 2011 and be counted 16-18, 2012 in the courts of heaven as well as the halls of congress as we stand for israel and the jewish people around the world.

The enemies of Israel are the enemies of America. They are the enemies of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These enemies have drawn the battle line. If a line has to be drawn... then draw that line around both Christians and Jews.

Children of the World international Children’s Choir Children of the World International Children’s Choir is a special group of orphaned and disadvantaged children from several different countries around the world. This is the 12th year of Children of the World, as they travel across the U.S. for 10 months putting a voice and face to the desperate needs of children whose lives have been devastated by civil war, famine, poverty, unclean water, and preventable diseases.

Today alone, 29,000 children will perish due to preventable diseases, including pneumonia, malaria, and diarrhea. Perhaps even more surprising is the fact that over half of these deaths occur due to malnutrition and lack of clean water. Step into the story of a child today as we discover what it means to “overflow” with the kind of love that can truly change the world.
