CARDOZA, RLA, ASLA President Perry's ability to creatively express his ideas to agencies, councils, and community groups helps in developing a collaborative approach to problem solving. With decades of on-call experience with the City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, Port of Los Angeles, and many other public agencies, Tom shares his talents and passion for our profession as a volunteer vice-president of the Corona Historic Preservation Society, volunteer vice-president for the City of Corona Partners for Parks Foundation, volunteer with the Boy Scouts and participant in local California Park and Recreation Society Programs. His emphasis is in water-wise public- and private-oriented park/recreation planning and urban design projects. Linda provides graphic expertise along with a special interest in the environmental and regionally responsive aspects of landscape architecture to the NUVIS team. Her responsibilities include project management, photographic simulations, LEED documentation, presentation exhibits, project research, creative strategizing, design guidelines, California native plant palettes, corporate IT management, marketing materials, social media, and corporate website content and design. Linda's private family residence is a sustainable testing ground including a no-turf front yard, water reuse strategies, year-round edible garden beds, and native and adapted low water plants.

Construction documents and conceptual gateway monuments for 3.5 miles of water-wise street median improvements along Irvine Boulevard, First Street, and Newport Avenue. Scope included decorative concrete pavers, concrete maintenance strips, high-efficiency weather based drip irrigation systems, and low water plant palette.

0.5 mile themed street improvement with bike lanes on both sides, center turn lanes with landscaped median islands, existing lane configurations at major intersections, 7' wide sidewalks, gateway features, and improved walkable environment.

Design solutions reinforce the history of Boulder City with elements from Hoover Dam along with thematic site furnishings.

Hunsaker & Associates for City of Laguna Niguel, CA

Conceptual plans, alternatives and construction documents for rejuvenation of 2.5 acres of an existing 20-acre hillside civic park incorporating new amphitheater, play areas, splash pad, trails, themed GFRC play sculptures, custom site furniture, and entry gateways. CBC ADA accessibiliy requirements met throughout the challenging hillside site. High-efficiency irrigation systems, permeable paving, synthetic turf, and low-water use plants along with California native species utilized throughout the project.

City of Fountain Valley, CA Master plan guidelines with design simulations for 7-miles of median turf reduction including recommendations, probable costs for planting and irrigation broken down per street, concept plans, hardscape options, irrigation upgrade alternatives, existing conditions, opportunities and constraints, plant palettes, and gateway signage. Project scope included Brookhurst Street, Edinger Avenue, Euclid Street, Magnolia Street, and Slater Avenue.

LSA for the City of Mission Viejo, CA Inventory, analysis, community outreach assistance, exhibits, technical reports, digital media development, and final master plan document including links to regional trails, 18-miles of new Class I, II & III bikeways, 13-miles of new multi-use trail shared sidewalks (MUTSS), and 8 new trail heads. Scope involved full day city-wide site visits, coordination with adjacent City plans, and consideration for freeway and railway right-of-ways.
