For knowledge workers, in particular, the workplace has been transformed. In activity-based workplaces, employees are not sticked to stable workstations. This freedom makes it possible for the employees to use broader areas in workplaces and allows activity zones that encourage collaboration, socialising and focusing on tasks.
Having both workstations owned by employees and task-based zones is not efficient in terms of space management and in financial point of view. That’s why a great majority of companies are implementing or considering activity-based working.
