Greek Week Information Packet

What is Greek Week? Greek Week is an annual weeklong celebration of Greek Life on Northwestern’s Campus. Greek Week is designed to help build a sense of community between all Greek organizations on campus. Greek Week takes place every fall quarter and consists of both competitive and non-competitive events that facilitate fun and spirited interactions within Northwestern’s Greek Community. Greek Week 2011 will take place from Sunday, October 2nd to Thursday, October 6th. Events during Greek Week are composed of individual, chapter, and multi-chapter events that are intended to bring Northwestern’s Greek Community together.

Teams: Each team should include at least 3 chapters, drawn from PHA, IFC, MGC and NPHC. Each team should only include one PHA sorority.

Scoring: Chapters will be awarded points for two reasons: overall participation in each event and the place that the chapter or team finished in each event. Teams will be awarded points differently for each main event. For each member in attendance at these events and for each member that checks in at the check-in locations throughout the week, 1/4 of a point will be awarded. Members arriving more than 15 minutes late to the Greek Gods and Goddesses event and the Stroll Competition will not be awarded attendance points.
