Samoa Government’s tourism partnership
Seiuli Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson APIA, Samoa (Savaii News): Government’s tourism partner sponsorship to support Lupesoliai Joseph Parker’s quest to become Samoa’s first heavy weight world boxing champion is made in the best interest of the country. What should be primary to all concern is the global profile of Samoa as a safe haven for tourists and business investors, says Prime Minister Tuilaepa Lupesoliai Sailele Malielegaoi. “For instance, Samoa will receive significant promotional tourism exposure in the live international broadcast to a probable viewership in the hundreds of millions. “I need not remind our media that tourism is the main stay of our economy. “More tourists and visitors translate to more revenues for our accommodations, restaurants and transport industries. “That’s more income for our subsistence farmers braving the hot sun as tourists have to eat, drink coconuts, eat barbecues and admire the lush green colour

the reach and his chances are excellent. “This is the second time that a Samoan from New Zealand is given world stage for a world title.” And to capitalise on the global exposure, Tuilaepa
also told reporters he has personally invited Samoa wrestling and Hollywood superstar, Seiuli Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to attend the December 10 WBO title fight, as his personal special guest.
Seiuli as of press time hasn’t responded to acknowledge he accepts the invitation. “Joseph [Parker] needs all the support he can get to have a good fight so I see the opportunity there to
have The Rock here.” “Not many people know that Seiuli is one of Samoa’s sons.” Seiuli visited Samoa in 2005 and was accorded a reception fit for a king, Samoan style
