After hosting Saturday Disney here in Oz, Naomi scored her very own show on the Disney Channel, Evermoor Chronicles! We spoke to her about her awesome rise to fame. Check it out!

Congrats on your lead role in Evermoor Chronicles! What has been the highlight for you so far? “I would have to say just acting and being able to do what I love... also working on the craft on the show and my acting skills!”
Was it hard going from a TV presenter role to an acting one? “It was a lot easier for me because I find that acting is more of a love for me. I think when you love something, it comes easier to you.
But, it was great doing presenting back home because it helped me with my confidence and got me used to being on set.” Are you and Tara from Evermoor alike? “Yeah! I’d say that were both quite confident, although we have our moments! Also, she’s a bit of a tomboy and I can definitely relate to that as well! The way that I dress is quite tomboy-ish and I think my attitude too… growing up I was always hanging with my older brother so naturally I have some tomboy-ish behaviour!” Who is your closest friend on set? “Georgie Glen is her name in real life, but I call her Aunt Bridget! [That is Georgie's character in Evermoor]. We had so much fun when we were on set, we would always sing together and we went on a road trip together in England while we were both there. I miss her when we aren’t filming!”

What made you fall in love with the script? “I think it was the whole magical element and the character. I was so happy that I got to audition for such a strong, great role model... and it was cool to have magical powers I guess, too! It was a huge responsibility being the lead in Evermoor but it was good to commit to it and do lots of research and perform my best everyday!”
