BORATORS AND COLLABORATORS AND COLLABORATORS

When legendary explorers like Marco Polo and Ferdinand Magellan set sail to uncover the world's wonders, they navigated vast oceans in search of new lands, riches, and even the mythical fountain of youth. Europe’s winding rivers — from the Danube to the Rhine — became lifelines of discovery, culture, and connection, each bend revealing something extraordinary.

Today, centuries later, we’re still enchanted by these same waterways, though now we explore them in far greater comfort and style.

Hello, travelers! My name is Randi Berger. I’m a Miami native, proud University of Miami alumnus, marketing executive, publicist, NGO director, and now an enthusiastic ambassador for Riverside Luxury Cruises. Riverside Luxury Cruises (RLC) is redefining the European river cruise experience — a journey I was fortunate enough to discover. Just as Ponce de León once sought a fountain of youth, I believe these rivers hold their own timeless magic. Each flowing current connects breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cities, and stories that span generations.

Having grown up boating under Miami’s sun-drenched skies, I know the feeling of freedom that comes from being on the water. It’s that same exhilarating sense of wonder I felt rediscovering Europe from the deck of an RLC ship — gliding past the terraced vineyards of the Rhine, the fairytale castles of the Danube, and the romantic banks of the Seine.

Ponce de León may never have found his fountain of youth…but I think we have. It’s not a hidden spring — it’s the world itself. With every sunrise over the river, each village rich with history, and every toast shared with fellow adventurers, we stay young — in heart, spirit, and soul.

Join me on the journey. The rivers are calling.

RIVERSIDE REVERIE

“Dream a little dream on this enchanting river-stream”

Welcome to the realm of Riverside Luxury Cruises.

Y"What was once an insider secret is now being illuminated,” added Randi B. Berger, brand ambassador for Riverside. “More eyes are opening to the rare beauty, elegance, and transformative intimacy of river cruising."

Indeed. Miles away from Europe, across the pond, on this island that prides itself on exclusivity, guests were enamored by a massive, ancient banyan tree that welcomed them. Here they were, near a primordial edifice, and yet — Riverside was on everyone's mind. The High Society packed in. Because mind you, this wasn't just a gathering at Vanderbilt. This was, after all, a very special occasion.

Jennifer Halboth, CEO

All the young-and-old Beautiful People showed up, but that didn't matter. What mattered, rather, was the intrigue.

First up, Gregor Gerlach, owner of Riverside Luxury Cruises, explained in his German accent: “Riverside is our newest baby. I fell in love with river cruising 10 years ago. There is no real luxury product out there on these rivers — no Mercedes, no Porsche, no Ritz-Carlton, no Four Seasons. We aim to change that. We offer real luxury on the river.”

Then, a lithe, quite sinewy, figure took the stage: "I was on this beautiful cruise, on the most beautiful river, just enjoying the smooth-cruising," a woman, full of glam-and-sparkles, said. "Do you know how different that is from normal cruising on the ocean with thousands of people? We don't want that. We want luxury. We love luxury, don't we? Right? We love the best!"

And the crowd just cheered. That was Marta Bloom, a well-known model, philanthropist, and co-host of this event. She had experienced it firsthand, recently returning from a Riverside cruise. And the guests, at this party, were given a solid preview of high-end finesse: Lamborghini shuttles; Champagne ice-bars; liquor-infused ice cream and sorbet; an opera singer, yes; a spa; and cultural activations that represented the countries associated with Riverside — such as a German Christmas market, a tulip garden-and-wall that would titillate any Hollander in their right mind, and a photographic backdrop for speeches for those who wanted to see what it’s like sitting, bouche beé, at Mozarthaus Vienna.

Right, right, right. Let's stop all the glinting and gawking — and all the wannabe-posturing, yeah? Someone, at some point, said:

"Wait, are we on a private island?"

This Island Is Your Island

We're here thanks to Consuelo Vanderbilt-Costin. This is her house. Did you know that her great-great grandfather — to wit, American heir and businessman William K. Vanderbilt II — had the cojones to trade a 265-foot luxury yacht named the “Eagle” in exchange of ownership of seven acres of self-made millionaire Carl Fisher’s island so that all of these happy-go-luckies could prance around in their latest dress (and then in their latest nightgowns)?

Yes, yes, dear reader — that's how it went.

Nothing wrong with that.

But Consuelo, herself, is a force to be reckoned with. Her elegance and sense of style are nonpareil. The New York media has profiled her as one of the city’s most influential women, and she continues to make lasting impressions as a serial entrepreneur across various industries.

Meanwhile, my boy — F. Scott — would have been proud. Or, well, he might have said (or written):

"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

And Halboth, with gleaming eyes on the prize, added:

“The strong interest we observed indicates a genuine appreciation for the style of travel we offer, and we look forward to welcoming these guests onboard our ships so that they can experience it firsthand.”

Arturo Tedeschi stands as a remarkable figure in the world of contemporary art, known for his visionary approach and creative prowess. His work transcends traditional boundaries, inviting viewers to engage in art in innovative ways. Tedeschi’s unique blend of imagination, technique, and thematic exploration has not only garnered him accolades but has also positioned him as a significant voice in modern artistic discourse.

BEYOND TALENT

“SEEKING

BEAUTY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY”

Born in a culturally rich environment, Tedeschi was exposed to various art forms from a young age. His early years were marked by a fascination with colors, shapes, and the stories they could tell. Growing up in a family that appreciated the arts, he was encouraged to pursue his interests, leading him to explore painting, sculpture, and later, digital mediums. Influenced by the vibrant art scenes of both his homeland and abroad, Tedeschi developed a passion for experimentation, often blending various mediums to create pieces that capture the essence of human experience.

Arturo's educational journey in fine arts further equipped him with the technical skills necessary to bring his imaginative visions to life. He studied under renowned artists who helped him hone his craft and encouraged him to push beyond traditional boundaries.

This foundational experience instilled in him a desire not only to master techniques but also to innovate and question the status quo. He began to see art as more than just a visual experience; he recognized its power as a vehicle for social commentary and change.

Tedechi's artistic style is characterized by a fusion of realism and abstraction. He skillfully employs a variety of techniques, including mixed media, digital art, and traditional painting, to explore themes such as identity, nature, and the passage of time. His use of bold colors and intricate patterns creates a visually striking aesthetic that draws viewers in, compelling them to look deeper into the narratives woven into his work

One of Tedeschi's most notable techniques is his ability to incorporate elements of technology into his art. By utilizing digital tools, he expands the possibilities of traditional art forms, creating immersive experiences that challenge the viewer's perception. This innovative approach not only reflects the contemporary digital landscape but also emphasizes the interconnectedness of art and technology in the modern world. His installations often include augmented reality features, inviting viewers to engage with his work in new and interactive ways. This not only enhances the visual experience but also creates a dialogue between the

Themes and Messages

The themes present in Tedeschi's work often reflect his keen observations of society and the human condition. He addresses complex issues such as environmental degradation, social injustice, and the quest for identity, prompting viewers to confront their own beliefs and biases. His art serves as a mirror, encouraging reflection and dialogue around topics that are often overlooked.

Tedeschi’s commitment to sustainability is particularly evident in his choice of materials. He frequently uses recycled and repurposed items, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility. Through his work, he advocates for a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature, urging people to consider the impact of their actions on the planet. This theme resonates deeply in today’s context, where climate change and environmental issues are at the forefront of global discourse.

Additionally, his exploration of identity and cultural heritage is profound. Tedeschi often draws from his own experiences and background, weaving personal narratives into his work. This not only enhances the authenticity of his art but also invites viewers from diverse backgrounds to find their own stories within his pieces. He believes that art has the power to bridge gaps between cultures and foster understanding, making it a crucial tool for social change.

Moreover, Tedeschi's experimentation with materials is a testament to his creativity. He frequently combines unconventional items—such as found objects, textiles, and even digital elements—into his pieces. This eclectic approach not only broadens the scope of his work but also challenges traditional definitions of art. His installations often defy gravity and expectation, creating dynamic environments that immerse the viewer in a multi-sensory experience

“Giving is good. It is that simple”

e sT ly

Giving is truly a simple act, yet its impact is profound. When we give, we share a part of ourselves, and in doing so, we create moments of kindness and connection. It costs nothing but offers everything—hope, warmth, and a sense of purpose. Sometimes, the simplest act of giving can brighten someone’s day, remind us of our shared humanity, and inspire a cycle of generosity that benefits us all. It’s that simple: giving is good.

FFrom being discovered in Miami as a teenager, flown to NY to sign with Eileen Ford, and literally overnight becoming an international model, to becoming a successful television host with a show shot in her studio in Hollywood, much of Marta Bloom’s life has been lived on stage. She has travelled the world, living in Paris, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and in the process, creating her own trademark look… an eclectic blend of runway couture and street style, blending the iconic with the outrageous, that her followers have come to expect. This look is not manufactured… it is a reflection of the woman she has become; comfortable in virtually any environment, fierce in her commitments to her causes and willing to put it all on the line. Now, the Gentle Diva has found her way back to the Beach and has added a new chapter to her resume, becoming an iconic figure on the Miami Philanthropic Stage.

Captain Marta, where’s your ship docking today?

We followed Marta on a whirlwind jaunt that almost made us dizzy from the experience. From walking the catwalk for the celebrity designers Cesar Galindo (Madonna and Cyndi Lauper) and Giannina Azar (Gwen Stefani and Beyonce!) at New York Fashion Week, posing for a photo shoot at the Edge, the 100th floor of New York’s Hudson Yard, to heading to Vienna to board the ultra-luxurious SS Mozart for a cruise on the Danube, to welcoming 400 of her friends to an event to introduce Riverside Luxury Cruises on the prestigious Fisher Island, to donning her angel’s wings as she hosted a packed house at the legendary Biltmore Hotel for Angels for Humanity’s Wicked Tea For a Cause, she does it all in style.

Marta Bloom has what she calls a cause for causes. “I believe life is a catwalk. And it is how you walk it that makes your mark”, she enthused. “And I believe giving is its own reward… Giving is good. It is that simple.” Her philanthropic work is focused on smaller charities, where she believes she can see the money and energy go to work. “I like smaller charities where I can see the founders actually participate in the work. For Angels for Humanity, I saw the founder Judith Joseph out in the field from Haiti to Cuba as well as in Miami, helping children and organizing each mission from the ground. That drew me in.”

And speaking of catwalks, we caught up with Marta on what was her first floating catwalk, in her ultra luxurious Mozart Suite aboard Riverside Luxury Cruise’s SS Mozart, the largest and most elegant river cruise ship on the Danube.

Marta and her close friend, New York fashion photographer Ezequiel “EZ” De La Rosa, were on board to shoot the cover for the premiere issue of NUA Luxury Interior Design Magazine. She celebrated with her husband, musician, producer, and tech entrepreneur, Ron Bloom. The one-bedroom suite was elegantly decorated, featuring a large living and dining room with a romantic fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river, a beautifully appointed bedroom with a king-sized bed, and a colossal marble bedecked bathroom with a shower and tub. Thank goodness the incredible suite featured a walk-in closet showcasing all her dresses, transforming the suite into a stunning boutique, with a curated selection of dream looks from designers worldwide.

Gown by: Cesar Galindo

As Daniel, her personal butler, and part of the Riverside experience, poured champagne, Marta took a moment to reflect on her life and surroundings. “Can you believe this suite? And the entire ship is just exquisite. I could live here!” she mused. “This is definitely the way to discover another side of Europe. We are a bit busy with the shoot, but I am planning on returning for a longer cruise.”

Marta spent four days on the Mozart, shooting different shots every day, but also enjoying the world-class service and amenities, not to mention the nightlife. “One day we were on the top deck. It was a bit cold, but I was excited to try a vintage Carolina Herrera gown as it just seemed to fit the elegance of the journey. I couldn’t resist the indoor pool, but of course had to take my dip in another gown, this one by Odalys Marino (JLO).” From the private dinner in the Vintage Room to the intimate and elegant Cigar Lounge, where Marta and Ron sampled vintage cigars and bourbon, the ship became Marta’s canvas and paint it she did. Rumor has it that she is considering chartering the Mozart for a fashion fantasy cruise. Make sure you follow her @martabloom to get on the invite list.

Returning stateside to her home in Miami Beach, Marta resumed her charitable work but also took time to co-host a Riverside event on Fisher Island, perhaps the most elite private island in the US. From there, off to her charity events from the Biltmore to Mar a Lago. “I think we helped a lot of kids today” she said after her Biltmore event. Marta believes there is a significant distinction between fashion and style. She calls it style with purpose. And she definitely has her purpose. “I believe that style is an expression of your innermost confidence. It is a physical manifestation of the way you see life. And I believe you can channel your style to serve others with grace.” Marta Bloom continues channel hers, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

“When there’s a seduction, there is Luxury" Fede

In recent years, the interior design landscape has witnessed a remarkable transformation, with black emerging as a dominant trend, increasingly replacing traditional whites and lighter neutrals. Once regarded as a color that could close off spaces, black is now celebrated for its ability to create depth, sophistication, and an unexpected sense of openness. This shift signifies not just a change in color preferences but a broader evolution in how we perceive and utilize space within our homes.

Historically, neutrals like beige and browns reigned supreme in interior design, providing a warm, inviting backdrop. However, as our aesthetic tastes evolve, we now find ourselves gravitating towards off-whites, greys, and an exciting interplay of light and dark. The combination of lighter and ebony woods has begun to make powerful statements in flooring and wall design, offering a striking contrast that draws the eye and enhances the overall ambiance of a room.

One of the most significant misconceptions about darker colors—particularly black—is that they can make spaces feel cramped. On the contrary, darker ceilings, walls, and floors can create a sense of spaciousness, especially when paired with lighter furniture. This combination not only opens up the space visually but also adds a layer of drama and elegance. By thoughtfully balancing dark and light elements, designers can craft environments that feel both expansive and intimate.

In my design practice, I embrace the idea that black and off-white are the new neutrals. This palette allows for versatility and timeless elegance, making it easier to incorporate various design elements. When choosing artwork or accessories, color becomes crucial, particularly if one opts for a monochromatic look. A well-selected piece of art can inject vibrancy into a room dominated by darker tones, creating a dynamic focal point that enhances the overall aesthetic.

Despite the rising trend, I have often encountered clients who are hesitant to embrace black in their homes. Their concerns typically stem from a fear that it may overwhelm the space or feel too austere. However, through careful analysis and a balanced design approach, I assure them that black can yield stunning results. By understanding the design intent and incorporating complementary elements, the outcome is often an elegant and sophisticated environment that feels anything but oppressive. As I like to say, it becomes “completely outside the box.”

The trend of integrating black into interior design is not merely a fleeting fancy; it is a statement of modern elegance that encourages us to rethink our perceptions of color and space. By embracing darker hues alongside lighter furnishings, we can create rooms that are not only beautiful but also reflective of our evolving tastes. As this trend continues to gain momentum, it reinforces the idea that bold choices can lead to extraordinary results, transforming spaces into personalized sanctuaries of style and sophistication.
