Career Exploration and SelfDiscovery RIT/NTID summer camps attracted the interest of several hundred deaf and hard-of-hearing middle and high school students from 22 states and two other countries—Canada and Spain. Middle school boys and girls enjoyed TechBoyz and TechGirlz camps with a focus on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and math). Steps to Success—a mini-camp for Latino, African American and Native American middle school students—offered the opportunity for students to think about career options. College-bound high school students came to RIT for NTID’s Explore Your Future Program, a career exploration program that gave them an opportunity to get hands-on experience in a variety of career areas.
