Charity Days Condobolin Sports Club and its sub clubs were pleased to sponsor lady bowler, Karen Dunn, when she recently had her longer than waist hair shaved in the name of Charity. Karen was also sponsored by Hairdresser Jacq, who took charge of the scissors, and many of the town business houses, who donated prizes for the competition. Karen was very pleased to hand over $!,000 dollars to the Leukaemia Foundation. Thank you to all the sponsors and congratulations to Karen for her good work.

TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE A1. Nothing. After the first player to play has delivered the first bowl, no-one has the right to challenge the legality of the original position of the jack. Law 22.7 A2. Yes. This year, the clubs hosted were from: Belmore, Blakehurst, Bronte, Clovelly, Concord RSL, Double Bay, Five Dock, Greenlees, Grandviews, Leichhardt, Matraville, Peakhurst, and Ramsgate. There were 26 teams in all, competing and having a whole load of fun and laughter, as the EPB girls tried to prove their mettle. In addition, there were raffles, craft, a cake stall, lucky dips and something for everyone. As a result of the day, after donations, sales and sponsorships, not to mention fantastic bowls – a donation will be going to: • Ovarian Cancer Research • Fred Hollows Foundation.
