HOUSEHOLD GOODS  PEAK SEASON • • • • •

Service members should expect a compressed timeline for planning and scheduling military moves through the end of the Continuing Resolution (CR) for FY year 2017. Service members can expect to receive their orders approximately two months prior to their expected move timeframe. The impact of the continuing resolution will be exasperated by usual peak season challenges. As a result, once orders are received, members should go online to www.move.mil and create their HHG or UB shipment requests within 72 hours. Once www.move.mil has been completed members must print the documents and bring them to the personal property office along with a copy of orders to get their HHG or UB move scheduled as soon as possible. QUESTIONS: Call Personal Property at 4206/4495/4735. Ready.  Resourceful. Responsive!

Your Cyber Security Tip of the Month Prepare for Heightened Phishing Risk This Tax Season •

Throughout the year, scam artists pose as legitimate entities—such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), other government agencies, and financial institutions—in an attempt to defraud taxpayers. They employ sophisticated phishing campaigns to lure users to malicious sites or entice them to activate malware in infected email attachments. To protect sensitive data, credentials, and payment information, US-CERT and the IRS recommend taxpayers prepare for heightened risk this tax season and remain vigilant year-round.

• 1. 2. 3. •.

Spot common elements of the phishing lifecycle A Lure: enticing email content. A Hook: an email-based exploit. A Catch: a transaction conducted by an actor following a successful attempt. If you believe you might have revealed sensitive information about your organization or access credentials, report it to the appropriate contacts within the organization, including network administrators. They can be alert for any suspicious or unusual activity.

Report all phishing attempts to ISD Service Desk @ 5717
