Medzi ľuďmi žijúcimi na území regiónu je možné nájsť výrobcov košíkov, maliarov, rezbárov, výrobcov tašiek, šperkárov, keramikárov, producentov medu a výrobkov z medu a vinárov. Okrem nich sa tu nachádzajú šikovní ľudia, ktorí maľujú kraslice, sklo a fľaše, háčkujú, zaoberajú sa textilnou batikou, enkaustikou a výrobou výrobkov zo šúpolia.

Local Action Group Assocation of Municipalities of the Topolčany – Duchonka Micro-region was founded in November 2009 registering at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, and includes the following communities and their territories: Jacovce, Krušovce, Kuzmice, Nemčice, Germany, Podhradie, Prašice, Tesáre, Tovarníky, Tvrdomestice, Velušovce, Závada and Topoľčany. SOTDUM region is situated in the northeastern part of Western Slovakia Region, on the border of the Pannonian Basin and the Carpathian Mountains.

The tradition of organizing peasant fairs and events associated with the celebration of the harvest “dožinky,” which has been associated with the agricultural focus of the region and the traditional peasant way of life became peculiarity of the territory. Other things that survived are the tradition of amateur theater and puppet play. It is possible to find baskets manufacturers, painters, carvers, bags manufacturers, jewelers, ceramists, producers of honey and honey products and winemakers among the people living in the region. Apart from them, there are skilled people who decorate eggs, glass and bottles, hooks, deal with batik fabric, encaustic and make products of corn husk.

The Pannonian Basin extends into the territory of micro-region with the area of Danube Plain, which extends from southern with two sections - Nitra down and Nitra meadows. From the mountains, there are the Považský Inovec Mountains that fills the western part of the area, from the south and southeast it´s the Mountain Tríbeč which acts as a border. The area is linked with functional and well marked trails, several lookouts (already existing ones on Marhát area and Pánska Javorina) and hiking trails. It is
