First things first, let’s get aquatinted. Where are you guys from?

Marcus: We were into really embarrassing things, like U2 and Eminem.

Miles: Me and Marcus grew up in Finsbury Park

Miles: We liked basket ball a lot!

Oscar: I grew up in Highbury so just around the corner from Miles and Marcus!  What were you into as teenagers? Page 22

 You all met at school. Were you in any bands together, like embarrassing Weezer tribute ones?


Theme Park Marcus: Me and Miles were in a band together with our friend Ben, (he produced our singles) We played Reggae/ Indie music!

band so he mentioned it to us and we decided to lose the ‘Jesus’ bit!

Miles: We used to have jazz jams with Louis at school too.

Oscar: Hmm, I guess since January.

Oscar: I went to a different secondary school to the guys so we only started playing musically together more recently.  I think we should discuss the name, just to get it out of the way... why Theme Park? Miles: Louis’s (band mate) old girlfriend came up with it actually, they were in South America and they went to a ‘Jesus Theme Park’ and she said that would be a cool name for a

How long have you been a band for?

 You’re about to release your first single... Miles: Well the first release is ‘Wax’ and ‘A Mountain We Love’. It’s a double A side. The music is a collage of ideas I guess, and the single cover is our old family TV in my bedroom.  You’re supporting Summer Camp on their forthcoming tour. What did you used to do during the summer holidays? Page 23

Theme Park Miles: We went to band camp! Marcus: and did tennis courses with Oscar!  Apart from Theme Park, are there any other new bands we should look out for? Marcus: They aren’t new but I saw the Antlers last night and that was very very special! Oscar: Im really enjoying Cold Speks.
