How to get to and from North Sea Jazz
Take advantage of Rotterdam
During the North Sea Jazz Festival, access roads and parking places get very crowded. We therefore advice you to use public transport, with which Ahoy is easy accessible.
Your ticket to the festival brings you more than just music! It also allows you discounts or free admission at these cultural Rotterdam hotspots.
Train
If you travel to Rotterdam Central Station, you can transfer to a metro which takes you to Ahoy (Zuidplein stop). After the festival, you can make use of the night trains: •On all nights in the direction of Den Haag/ Amsterdam •On Friday and Saturday nights in the direction of Dordrecht en Breda Please plan ahead!
Construction is being done on Dutch railroads, mainly on weekends. Please check www.ns.nl for any changes in the regular schedule. Metro/bus
Ahoy Rotterdam is easily reached using the metro and over thirty bus lines. Metro D leaves from the Central Station and line E even runs from The Hague. Your stop at the festival is Zuidplein. Especially for North Sea Jazz, metro trains have an extended night schedule between Slinge and Central Station until 2.30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday night. On Friday and Saturday you can also use regular night buses (so-called “BOB-buses”) to several destinations in and around Rotterdam. Please check www.ret.nl for more information. Taxi
You can find a taxi rank in front of Ahoy. Car
Follow signs ‘P-Ahoy’, which will take you to the nearest available parking area. In view of limited parking near Ahoy and possible traffic jams on the roads to and from Rotterdam, we advise you to make use of public transport facilities like train and the metro.
