Announcements The offering today is for Potomac Partners. This is a Potomac Conference offering. For new members and visitors, the North Valley Church is one of 159 churches and companies that make up the Potomac Conference. The Potomac Conference is located in Staunton, Virginia. The Potomac Partner offering is used for Church Buildings, Education, Evangelism, and Youth and Camp Blue Ridge. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Vespers will be at 7:00 this evening. Please come and join us as we close the Sabbath. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Join us for dinner before prayer meeting on Wednesday at 6:00 p. m., with prayer meeting to follow at 7:00. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Continue to remember Hollins Manor. They are in desperate need of body wash, deodorant (men’s and women’s), and shampoo. Please pray about how you should help this ministry. This is a very important part of our community service. These men and women rely on our support. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The food pantry is STILL in serious need of non-perishable foods. Please help us fill our pantry back up. We are asking that everyone bring one can or one box of non-perishable foods every Sabbath morning to church to be placed in a basket as you enter the church. Everyone’s help is desperately needed. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We all love fellowship dinners, and the food is always delicious. If you plan to come and enjoy, please bring enough food for your family and one more person, in order to provide ample food for our guests. We need our member’s help. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have yard sale items (including plants) for the church yard sale, please bring them to the church on Sunday, Aug. 2. The yard sale will be Thursday, Aug. 6 from 7 am to 5 pm, and Friday, August 7 from 7 am to 2 pm. Any baked goods need to be brought as early as possible the day of the sale.

Be sure to join us for fellowship dinner next Sabbath, and bring a friend! ================================ The McGraw’s enjoyed a visit from their son Paul, his wife Betty and their son Evan as the passed through the area this week. They were here for Marguerite’s birthday.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We are so happy to announce that Angela Nordberg will be the teacher's assistant at R.A.P.S. for the 2009/2010 school year. Angela is a member of the North Valley SDA church and is active in the Youth Department. Angie will assist the lead teacher, Crystal Melius, with student supervision, tutoring students who need extra help, grading papers, clerical duties, etc. The Lord has blessed us in sending Angela to our school for the upcoming year. Please add the school and these two teachers to your prayer lists; they will need God's guidance in training our kids for His kingdom.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. --Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
